Drive technology from concept to certification
We combine proven standard products with customised, cost-optimised drive solutions – perfectly tailored to your requirements. From evaluation, design and validation to product certification and support. - Customised drive systems - System integration and optimisation - Prototypes and accompanying studies Project example (full story available in the download area): Antrimon developed a unique valve actuator for a global equipment manufacturer facing extreme operating conditions. The requirements were demanding: operation in ATEX and IECEx Zone 22, ambient temperatures from 5 to 50 °C, lifetime exceeding 10 million cycles, high continuous and acceleration torque at low speeds, minimal heat generation and maximum energy efficiency – all in a compact design with worldwide certifications (ATEX, IECEx, CE, UL). No such solution existed on the market. Antrimon’s answer was a fully customised brushless outer-rotor motor combined with a two-stage planetary gearbox. The design focused on delivering maximum torque at the lowest speed, exceptional robustness and reliability. With a maintenance-free concept – no brushes, no oil changes – the actuator is built for continuous heavy-duty operation. The entire process, from feasibility analysis and mechanical/electronic design to prototyping, extreme-condition validation, certification and series production, was handled in-house. The result: significantly lower energy consumption compared to pneumatic systems, extended maintenance intervals, improved process safety and full global compliance. This solution gives the customer a clear competitive edge in international plant engineering. Antrimon is the only provider worldwide able to deliver such a certified solution economically from concept to series production.

Customised and cost-optimised drive controls
Ready-to-order drive controllers are inexpensive in the development phase, but include unnecessary functions and result in high unit prices in series production. The flexible design of our motion control platform enables us to develop your individual solution tailored to your needs in the shortest possible time. You define the required specifications and we design your cost-optimised control system. It reduces manufacturing costs and significantly simplifies assembly and commissioning for the customer. Integrated obstacle detection and absolute position The motor control has integrated obstacle detection, eliminating the need for external sensors. A cost-effective SSI absolute encoder enables precise position detection. The system can reliably control up to three pieces of furniture simultaneously. From prototype to series production The project encompassed the entire development process – from the concept phase to prototypes to a solution ready for series production. The control unit, firmware, cabling and mechanical interfaces were completely redesigned. Suitable assembly and testing devices were created for series production. Many costs can be saved in various applications by selecting the right product. For example, brushed automotive DC motors can also be put to very good use outside the automotive industry. Voice Coil Aktuatoren
Voice coil actuators work on the basis of moving coils. Moving coil technology is used in our linear actuators. Compared to the moving magnet technology, rapid accelerations and very high speeds can be attained through the smaller load that needs to be moved. The actuators are backlash-free direct drives with integrated position measuring system, which can be programmed for position, speed and force control. The linear drives are also ideally suited to replace pneumatic cylinders, are more cost-efficient and attain double the cycle rate. Strain Wave Gear
Strain wave gears utilise the elastic deformation of flexible components for motion or power transmission, thereby enabling mechanical drives with a range of special properties that conventional gearboxes cannot achieve.

Servomotor Tetra Compact 4 (TC4)
The Tetra Compact brushless servomotors are available in a wide range of power levels and in high and low inertia versions, offering targeted solutions for diverse applications. The unique and patented design of the rotor part of these brushless motors ensures optimum performance in a wide range of applications, especially where dynamics and stable speeds are required. The design of the new Tetra Compact 4 series is 30% shorter than previous drives in the Tetra Compact range, while maintaining power density, efficiency and speed. The range also includes 10-pole servomotors with a variety of feedback systems.

Frameless BLDC Motor
In contrast to conventional BLDC motors, a frameless motor only consists of a stator and rotor. Compared to traditional motors, frameless motors enable a very high level of system integration. The space required in the design can be significantly reduced thanks to the compact design and can be supplemented with a feedback system and/or strain wave gear if required.
