About us
BW Service AG, headquartered in Utzenstorf and with branches in Illnau-Effretikon and Sursee, employs over 50 people. Our core competencies lie in mechanical maintenance, pump and gear service, steel construction, piping construction, plant and equipment construction, as well as assembly, disassembly, and industrial relocation.
If desired, we can support your project from planning and production through to installation and commissioning. Our goal is to ensure that all requirements are met and that your plants and machines function optimally. Together, we develop proposed solutions, which we present to you in the form of three-dimensional drawings (3D CAD) to give you a clear idea of your project. Thanks to our many years of experience in the engineering and manufacturing of plants and machines, we can implement your ideas quickly and competently.

Anlagenservice
We look after your machines and systems autonomously and in a goal-oriented manner. Together we define the task and the deadline. We handle the job independently, whether it is a one-off or a recurring job, thus creating valuable freedom for you. As an SME, we have the means to take on even large tasks and can carry them out with high efficiency thanks to our lean organisation. When you place an order with us, we also assume full responsibility for the agreed task.
Personnel support
According to your requirement profile, we provide you with the appropriate skilled workers with the necessary equipment to reinforce your capacities. You can count on them having the necessary rules of conduct in production plants, the required safety equipment and the training to drive forklifts as standard. Durch Kontinuität und längerfristige Zusammenarbeit erlangen unsere Mitarbeiter die notwendigen kundenspezifischen Anlagekenntnisse und können so auch zuverlässig für die Vertretung Ihres eigenen Personals bei Absenzen wie Ferien, Krankheit oder Unfall eingesetzt werden. Wir kennen die Bedürfnisse unserer Kunden und reagieren deshalb äusserst flexibel und ermöglichen Soforteinsätze. Statt der hohen Kosten für die Bereitstellung von eigenen Personalressourcen für die Stellvertretung entstehen bei einer Lösung mit uns nur Kosten bei Bedarf.
Mounting and dismounting
Expert planning, coordination and execution of assembly and disassembly work always facilitate subsequent, further work and commissioning on schedule. With our lifting and special tools, we are happy to support you in the assembly and disassembly of individual machines or complete systems. With the most modern measuring equipment, we also meet demanding installation tolerances. Optimally aligned machines noticeably reduce energy and maintenance costs.
Machine removal
Moving a machine or plant from its old location to a new one often poses unforeseen challenges. Our service technicians are distinguished by their ability to meet these challenges with our knowledge and material and to enable you to achieve the shortest possible production downtimes.
Gear service
We guarantee you a complete overhaul or repair in our service centre or on your premises. From small to large, from spur gear to angle, from single to multi-stage, we have the necessary experience to complete your order on time and with great sustainability. The highest standards of cleanliness, correct handling of rolling bearings or the ability to set rolling bearings correctly ensure that your requirements are met.
Pump service
Highly trained service technicians look after your pumps professionally and around the clock, from installation to maintenance and repair. As an independent service provider, we can look after you regardless of manufacturer and type. Our long-standing cooperation with a wide range of manufacturers guarantees us access to technical documentation such as sectional drawings and spare parts lists as well as the supply of original spare parts. From standard pumps to technologically sophisticated special pumps, all of them are reconditioned and tested at our service centre with the shortest possible delivery times. The documentation of the repair and thus the traceability as well as the warranty for our work are standard with us. You can also benefit from our expertise when replacing or purchasing new pumps. Our engineering team will be happy to advise you.
Metal construction
Metal construction not only processes metals, but also combines them with non-metals. The focus is on steel processing, especially hot-rolled structural steel and stainless steel. Aluminium is used for the construction of windows, facades and occasionally railings. The composite material of plastic and glass is used in building construction for the manufacture of windows, conservatories and railing systems. We will be happy to discuss your requirements with you and submit our proposed solutions on three-dimensional drawings. As a supplementary service, we will also prepare the necessary building applications with the complete documentation. We offer a wide variety of curtain wall balconies for detached houses and apartment buildings.
Construction and apparatus engineering
Often it is not possible to resort to standard or norm parts, or it is necessary to produce a single part or a small series. It is precisely in such situations that our construction and apparatus fitters come into play. Either you send us your production drawings or our specialists come to you on site to discuss the initial situation and to record the required dimensions and then manufacture them. Applications in this area range from pump base frames, fan housings and sound insulation bonnets for machines to boilers and special parts. We are also your contact for a wide variety of customised products.
Pipeline construction
Processes result in defined routes in which media are transported at the right speed and in the right quantity. Sensitive media such as foodstuffs or media with high pressures require professional and sometimes legally required testing of the production and installation. Our pipeline engineers will install new pipelines for you elegantly and in accordance with standards, if necessary combined with testing and acceptance. If necessary, old pipes that are no longer required are dismantled and disposed of. We ensure that your medium arrives at the desired destination. Pipes in stainless steel or steel, welded or pressed - we reliably lay them. We are the right contact for a wide range of adaptations or new installations in steel or stainless steel.
Steel construction
Whether in the building trade or in industry - we are your contact for the implementation of projects and tasks. We deliver simple constructions or solutions for complex steel structures, combined with high requirements for assembly in production plants, reliably and professionally. Our infrastructure enables us to produce in steel, stainless steel, aluminium and in combination with other materials such as glass, wood and plastic. We regard the introduction of pioneering and progressive solutions as our daily challenge in order to provide you with the desired added value. One of our specialities is the production of complicated platforms for industry and trade.
Engineering
Your machines and systems are no longer state of the art? Are you planning to increase efficiency or would you like to optimise on the basis of actual data? Then it is often helpful if the new initial situation is recalculated for pressure losses, flow rates or statics. It is precisely in such situations that our engineers come into play. Because they are confronted with new challenges every day, they have a lot of experience and ideas that can also help you.
Construction
As maintenance specialists, we know that not all constructions are maintenance-friendly. That's why our designers attach great importance to constructing objects in such a way that they achieve the longest possible life cycle and can be repaired as quickly as possible in the event of an inspection. We are happy to apply our knowledge and experience to your applications as well.
3D-CAD
In order to better visualise complex constructions or to support an investment application with a meaningful representation, we create 3D CAD drawings up to complete production drawings for you. In addition, the drawing belongs to you and later adjustments can be added to the drawing so that you always have up-to-date documentation. Our designers are also happy to put your ideas on paper.
Manufacturing
In our service centre, we have the necessary machines and tools for every type of manufacturing and machining, from simple drilling to complex reconditioning. We can perform turning, milling and cylindrical grinding work on small parts as well as on large and heavy workpieces. Whether it's refurbishing a defective component or producing parts, we can always respond quickly and efficiently. Our experience and expertise in manufacturing ensure that we always achieve high-quality results.
Hydro Power
BW Service AG has extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of hydropower plants and can offer you the know-how and expertise you need to keep your plant running smoothly. From turbines and butterfly valves to ball valves and beyond, we have the knowledge and experience to keep your hydropower plant running at peak efficiency.
