Maximum mobility with the highest level of safety up to Cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3 The new wireless safety system RE 6900 from the SAFEMASTER W series is the perfect solution if you want to work safely and reliably in hazardous areas during maintenance or machine setup - with maximum mobility. The wireless enabling switch enables safe operation and prevents the unintentional initiation of dangerous movements, as only an activated centre position of the three-stage switch gives the wireless enable for machine movement. Releasing or pressing the switch interrupts the movement and triggers a safetyrelated shutdown. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the wireless enabling switch f its perfectly in the hand and allows intuitive one-handed operation - with maximum safety up to Cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3. Reliable all-pole disconnection Power Interlocking enables a switchdisconnector to be integrated into the SAFEMASTER STS safety switch and key transfer system. It enables direct, all-pole disconnection and safety-related interlocking of the power supply to machines and plants. The safety system thus protects people when entering a danger zone. Extension module XF 6929
Flexible extension of safety circuits The extension module XF 6929 from the SAFEMASTER series enables reliable and flexible extension of safety circuits. Extension module RK 6929
Safe contact extension - Now with UL approval The extension module RK 6929 from the SAFEMASTER series offers up to two separately controllable forcibly guided relays in a compact enclosure with a width of only 17.5 mm and is used to decouple the control and power levels as well as for contact reinforcement. As an output extension for signals from safety control systems (OSSD), the RK 6929 switches actuators reliably and potential-free. The extension module can be used in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in applications for firing systems in accordance with EN 50156-1. Solid-state relay RK 9260
High switching frequency at minimum width The solid-state relay RK 9260 from the POWERSWITCH series is characterised by wear-free and noiseless switching of resistive loads. The device is suitable for industrial applications with high switching frequencies, such as plastic injection moulding machines, thermoforming and packaging machines. The RK 9260 can also be used to reliably switch the short but very high inrush currents in LED lighting. Reliable switching with DC loads With the solid-state contactor PK 9265 from the POWERSWITCH series, Dold is expanding its range of semiconductor contactors for DC applications. The PK 9265 impresses with fast, wear-free switching without contact bounce, integrated overvoltage protection and resistance to vibrations. Thanks to MOSFET technology, low forward resistance and an integrated heat sink, the device is ideal for industrial use. Hybrid relay RK 3070
Switching of high inductive and capacitive loads The hybrid relay RK 3070 from the POWERSWITCH series is used to switch inductive or capacitive loads, for example energy-saving and LED lamps or switching power supplies with high inrush currents. A triac switches on at the zero crossing of the AC voltage. The continuous current is then conducted via the parallel-connected relay contact, thereby minimising power loss. This combination allows high inrush currents to be switched without contact bounce or arcing. This ensures a significantly longer service life. Residual current monitor RN 5884
Reliable detection of fault currents The all-current sensitive residual current monitor RN 5884 from the VARIMETER RCM series reliably detects fault currents in earthed AC/DC networks. It monitors DC, pulsed DC and AC residual currents up to 2 kHz and, with the connection of two current transformers and a Modbus RTU interface, enables flexible integration into modern monitoring systems. The residual current monitor RN 5884 ensures early fault detection, increases system availability and supports preventive fire and system protection measures. Sensorless standstill monitor UG 9146
Sensorless standstill monitoring The sensorless standstill monitor UG 9146 from the VARIMETER series is used for sensorless monitoring of electric motors for standstill. This means sensors such as encoders or proximity switches are not required. The standstill monitor measures the induced voltage of the coasting motor. If the induced voltage approaches 0, this means motor standstill for the device and the output relay is activated. With a width of only 22.5 mm, the UG 9146 can be installed in switch cabinets with limited space as well as in retrofit applications. - Simple retrofitting as sensorless - No external initiators required - Space-saving in the switch cabinet due to a width of only 22.5 mm

Insulation monitor RN 5893
IMD with UL 2231 approval - especially for DC charging stations Electrical safety must be guaranteed during the charging process. For this purpose, an unearthed DC power supply system (IT system) with insulation monitoring is set up and monitored with an insulation monitoring device (IMD). Dold has developed a smart insulation monitoring solution for DC charging stations that also fulfils the requirements of UL 2231. The insulation monitor RN 5893 from the VARIMETER IMD family monitors the charging process from the charging station to the vehicle in combination with the coupling device RP 5898. - Response delay < 10 s - Nominal voltage up to DC 1000 V - Manipulation protection due to sealable transparent cover

Insulation monitor RN 5897/300
Safety for mobile generators The insulation monitor RN 5897/300 from the VARIMETER IMD series by DOLD was developed especially for use with mobile generators. In mobile applications, such as in emergency vehicles or on construction sites, electrical energy must be used to reliably prevent injuries and property damage. Furthermore, mobile generators need to guarantee immediate operational readiness, without requiring time-consuming procedures to set up safeguards (such as installing and calibrating grounding systems etc.). That’s why the safeguard “electrical separation with insulation monitoring and shutdown” is available. It triggers an automated shutdown within < 1 s if the insulation resistance sinks below 100 Ω / V. The RN 5897/300 meets these demands, and fulfills the requirements of DIN VDE 0100-551 for mobile generators. The insulation monitor is suitable for system leakage capacitance of up to 30 μF, and is designed for universal use in ungrounded AC, DC and AC/DC networks. Besides an adjustable alarm threshold, the insulation monitor also has an adjustable pre-alarm threshold. A multicolored LED status light keeps users informed continuously on the current operating status. The device enables reliable monitoring, even in a network without current.

Insulation monitor RN 5897/020
Insulation monitoring for DC charging stations The number of electric vehicles is constantly increasing and will grow even faster in the future. This will also drive forward the expansion of the charging station infrastructure, as DC charging stations are the first choice when electric vehicles need to be charged in the shortest possible time. Electrical safety must be guaranteed during the charging process. For this purpose, an unearthed DC power supply system (IT-grid) with insulation monitoring is set up and monitored by means of an insulation monitoring device (IMD). The user must never be exposed to high voltages (up to 1000 V) at any time. The insulation monitor RN 5897/020 of the VARIMETER IMD family is used especially for DC charging stations according to the IEC/EN 61851-23:2014/AC:2016-06 standard and monitors the charging process from the charging station into the vehicle. The device is characterised by the short response delay of ≤ 1s, a rated voltage up to DC 1000 V with coupling device and the detection of asymmetrical as well as symmetrical insulation faults. The integrated voltage measurement ensures reliable detection of the insulation resistance in the IT grid. The insulation monitor also features a selftest. This takes place automatically after power-on and after every full operating hour.

Insulation monitor RN 5897/010
Insulation monitoring for modern IT systems The demand for the availability of machines and apparatus in the region of factory machinery and process technology is constantly increasing. The requirement for this is a functioning and reliable power supply. Unexpected insulation faults in the system can lead to unwanted power supply failures, and even cause personal injury or property damage. This is why insulation monitoring equipment is typically used in IT systems. The insulation monitor RN 5897/010 from the VARIMETER IMD series by DOLD was developed especially for use with modern power supplies. These are often comprised of converters, thyristor regulators, and direct current components. Through EMV interference suppression measures, high leakage capacitance onto the ground is present. The RN 5897/010 is suited for system leakage capacitances of up to 1000 μF, and for voltages up to AC/DC 230 V. Using the additional ballast unit RR 5898, it is possible to install the unit in systems with voltages of up to AC 1000 V and DC 1500 V. Besides an adjustable alarm threshold, the insulation monitor also has an adjustable pre-alarm threshold. A multicoloured LCD screen constantly updates stating the current insulation value. The insulation monitors guarantee additional surveillance over current-free networks. A selective earth fault detection of L+ and L- enables quick fault localisation.

Energy meter RL 9405
Energy management means the continuous monitoring, storage and evaluation of energy measurement data, thereby increasing the transparency of energy consumption and energy costs at all measurement levels. Only with a detailed overview of the energy consumers, the use of energy can be designed in a demandoriented and efficient manner and thus, for example, offering optimisation potentials. The energy meter RL 9405 of the VARIMETER PRO series is used to measure electrical parameters and energy consumption in 3-phase mains with neutral conductor. Voltages and currents are measured and evaluated continuously. A separate auxiliary voltage is not required. The device provides up to 50 characteristic values of the energy supply and that with a compact width of only 35 mm. The RL 9405 determines all energy consumptions and enables a breakdown by cause. The energy meter RL 9405 is predestined for use in manufacturing processes and IT data centres, to detect energy saving potentials and is especially suitable for the fulfilment of energy audits (DIN EN 16247-1) or energy management (ISO 50001). The galvanically separated Modbus RTU interface offers flexible options for processing information directly via a gateway or a higher-level control system (PLC) and passing it on via standardised interfaces.

Insulation fault location system RR 5886 / RR5887
Precise localisation of faults during operation The fault-detection process for insulation faults can become a costly and time-consuming process in extensive industry systems. The insulation fault location system of the VARIMETER EDS family from DOLD, consisting of a test current generator RR 5886 and the insulation fault search device RR 5887, monitors and locates insulation faults in a quick and safe manner in complex, isolated AC/DC mains (IT systems). The Modbus RTU interface allows a fast connection of the devices into existing bus systems. The corresponding current transformers ND 5017 work independent of each other. They are simply connected to the input channels of the fault locating module RR 5887, which also calibrates them. Insulation fault search devices can notably be used advantageously in complex and widespread power supply systems. Even computer centres, which are operated in unearthed mains (IT system) due to availability and insensitivity to disruption, benefit from the use of an insulation fault location system. Faulty electrical circuits can be found and removed quickly before a system break down with loss of data. The information about the location of the fault are visualised directly on the RR 5887 insulation fault search device. In addition the actual fault current values can be read, localised and visualised via Modbus. The insulation fault location system allows for automatic and quick pinpointing of faulty electrical circuits, thereby increasing reliability and system availability. You will very quickly recoup the purchasing costs for the insulation fault location system thanks to reduced maintenance costs and eliminated service interruptions. Some application examples include power plants, shipbuilding, traffic engineering, industrial systems, PV systems etc.

Battery symmetry monitor UH 9830
Monitoring of battery energy storage systems (BESS) The battery symmetry monitor UH 9830 from the VARIMETER series monitors battery energy storage systems (BESS) that are used in particular in the area of emergency power supply or power generation. The device monitors the battery symmetry with a centre tap. By splitting into two strings with the same number of battery blocks, voltage differences and thus the failure of a single battery cell or a single block are recognised directly and reported as a fault. DC voltage relay UG 9431
Monitoring of DC voltage networks The possibility of storing direct current from renewable energies and utilising it in industrial production is leading to the spread of DC voltage networks. The DC voltage relay UG 9431 from the VARIMETER series monitors these for overvoltages, undervoltages and exceeding of voltage ranges. Multifunction measuring relay UG 9400 - with Modbus RTU
Trouble-free and economic operation of machinery and plant is greatly improved by the reliable and continuous monitoring of single and 3-phase mains. Especially for pumping stations, fan drives and signalling systems where preventive maintenance measures or early fault detection is indispensable. If different parameters have to be monitored simultaneously, the investment, maintenance, operating and installation costs will be increased. With the multifunction measuring relay UG 9400 from the VARIMETER PRO series, DOLD combines up to 9 monitoring functions in one device with a width of only 22.5 mm and also enables parameterisation and monitoring via Modbus. Depending on the requirements, the UG 9400 can simultaneously monitors the 3-phase mains for overvoltage/undervoltage, voltage unbalance, overcurrent/undercurrent, cos ij, active, apparent and reactive power, frequency and phase sequence. It can also be used in single-phase mains applications. The compact UG 9400 measuring relay, also has two output relays which can be configured independently for different parameters. Commissioning, parameter setting and monitoring is quick and easy via a Modbus RTU interface. This fieldbus connection saves wiring and offers extensive diagnostic options, which increase the reliability and availability of machinery and plant. In many applications, the simple integration of Modbus RTU enables cost effective central monitoring of measured electrical variables, especially in applications with complex and extensive plant.

Three-position enabling switch RE 6909 - Safe and ergonomic
When operating machines and devices there are operating modes and situations where the stay in hazardous areas is needed. In order to work safely even in these cases with increased danger additional measures are required. With the new three-stage enabling switch RE 6909 of the SAFEMASTER series, people are secured during commissioning, maintenance or setup. What is important here is the three-stage functionality. Only an actively operated middle position gives approval to a higher-level safe control. If the operator releases the three-stage enabling switch or pushes it through (panic function) he or she withdraws approval, thus releasing the safety-oriented switch-off. Thanks to its functional and ergonomic design, the enabling switch grants fatigue-free working and, due to its modular setup, many additional operating and control functions such as a start-stop control device, key switches and further buttons. The robust handheld terminal meets the IP65 requirements for use even in rough ambient conditions. With the new three-stage enabling switch RE 6909 of the SAFEMASTER series we are expanding our product range of wireless enabling switches and wireless emergency stop systems for the safety-oriented transmission of emergency stop and control functions by an ergonomic wired version.

Emergency stop module UF 6925
Compact safety just 17.5 mm wide The only 17.5 mm wide emergency stop module UF 6925 of the SAFEMASTER series monitors safety functions such as emergency stop or safety door safely and simply in nearly every application and is characterised by maximum safety for man and machine with minimum space requirement. The UF 6925 enables time-saving wiring by integrated front side push-in cage clamp terminals and also makes rapid assembly possible by simple snapping on to the DIN rail. Being only 17.5 mm wide, the space required in control cabinets is reduced by more than 20 %, as opposed to standard safety modules. Due to its 2-channel structure the device is designed for highest safety requirements up to cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3 and is also suitable for use in furnace installations according to EN 50156-1 due to the redundant structure. Setting is carried out via switches on the back of the device and allows the selection of type of start and cross fault detection. The safety module is predestined thanks to its wide voltage range of DC 8 ... 36 V for a great variety of applications in machine and plant engineering and in mobile applications.

Standstill monitor UG 6946
Safe sensorless standstill monitoring The safe sensorless standstill monitor UG 6946 from the SAFEMASTER S series detects the standstill of 3-phase and 1-phase motors independent of the direction of rotation. This means sensors such as encoders or proximity switches are not required. Access to the danger zone of a system is only possible by the enabling signal of the standstill monitor after the drive has been switched off and run down. In order to detect a standstill, the remanence voltage induced by the motor windings is evaluated and provides safe standstill monitoring up to Cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3, even if the motor has already been switched off. Using a conventional release via a time control, dangerous movement could not necessarily be excluded. For the implementation of different operating modes, the standstill monitor UG 6946 also offers the possibility of bridging the standstill monitoring (muting). The simple integration into the machine and drive concept reduces the commissioning effort and costs and is particularly suitable for use in machine tools and woodworking machines, centrifuges and rolling drives. With a width of only 22.5 mm, the UG 6946 can be accommodated in the control panel even under tight space conditions allowing easy retrofitting. The device also offers two redundant safety contact paths and a forcibly guided signal contact.

Speed and standstill monitor UH 5947
More than just drive monitoring Regardless of whether the set-up operation must be monitored safely, protection via speed limitation is needed or a safety gate is released after detection of standstill - the speed and standstill monitor UH 5947 of the SAFEMASTER S series is the right choice for your application. The device can be operated via the 4 buttons on the front and the LCD display, thus enabling simple parameterisation. For example, the encoder type, speed limits per operating mode and delay times can be flexibly adapted to your application. During operation, the current speed values can be read directly at any time, which in particular makes commissioning easier. To prevent manipulation, the configuration can be protected against unintentional changes by means of a parameter lock after commissioning. For multiple use, the configuration can easily be transferred from unit to unit via interface. The device status or the current speed can further be processed by a control system via a semiconductor signal output. The speed and standstill monitor UH 5947 covers the combined application of encoder signals and PNP or NPN sensors. Alternatively, NAMUR sensor technology can be used as a device variant. The device can be used in temperature ranges from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius and up to heights of 4000 metres.

Speed and frequency monitor UH 6937
Safe, sensorless drive monitoring With the speed and frequency monitor UH 6937 from the SAFEMASTER S Series, DOLD offers an efficient, economic solution for safe, sensorless drive monitoring. Monitoring the output frequency of traction converters is just one of the many different ways to use this component. In case of over- or underfrequency, violation of the set window range or wrong direction of rotation the frequency monitor shuts off safely, proving its benefit over frequency converters with integrated safety functions in any application where simplicity, flexibility, and safety are required. As an additional protective measure, the device can be adapted to an application by pressing just a few buttons. With the appropriate wiring, the device can offer the safety functions STO (safe torque off), SOS (safe operation stop), SLS (safely limited speed), SSM (safe speed monitoring), SSR (safe speed range) and SDI (safe direction) in accordance with EN 61800-5-2. With the help of ergonomically shaped buttons on the front, and a lit LCD display, you can quickly and easily access parameters relevant for the application, such as monitoring functions, delay times, and frequency ranges for up to four operating modes – all without a PC.

The SAFEMASTER STS Program consists of modules that can be individually combined and adapted to your application. They combine the advantages of safety switches, interlocks and key transfer in one system. The modular design allows systems to be assembled out of several units, or to modify and expand existing systems as required. All mechanical interlocks can be utilised in machine and plant concepts without wiring. They provide an economic and reliable proctection in wide applications. With only a few single components, a number of individual interlock units can be assembled. The stainless steel units guarantee good stability. Extensive equipment allows a simple mounting.

Locking module ZRHC
Control functions on safety door DOLD extends the safety switch and key transfer system SAFEMASTER STS by a further safety switch with guard lock. Up to three command and indication functions can be easily integrated into these. SAFEMASTER STS thus combines the advantages of safety switches, guard locks, key transfer and command functions in a single system. This meets the highest safety requirements up to Cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3. The integrated command and indication elements enable the simple integration of command, indication and emergency stop functions into both new and existing safety concepts. As a result, the SAFEMASTER STS system becomes a true control centre from which command functions, status displays, releases, main and maintenance entrances can be controlled. This means that control signals, such as emergency stop or acknowledgement of the safety guard, can be triggered directly at the access points of machines and systems. In addition to emergency stop buttons, illuminated pushbuttons as well as pushbuttons or selector switches are also available. Due to its very slim design, the robust and attractive fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) enclosure can be mounted on safety fences in a space-saving manner. The optional M23 plug connectors ensure fast commissioning and reduce wiring work to a minimum. The safety switch with guard lock is optionally available with auxiliary and emergency unlocking as well as with actuator of the medium coding stage.

Radio controlled safety system UH 6900 - In pair mode
The safety approved, bidirectional radio controlled safety system UH 6900 from the SAFEMASTER W series, is for the transmission of safety inputs such as E-stop and conventional control functions and offers great flexibility for the protection of hazardous areas. By implementing the latest radio controlled technologies, a high degree of availability, a wide range, and safety is achieved. Two safety zones can easily be connected wirelessly over a considerable distance. The main application areas include applications covering large areas and mobile applications such as fully automated conveyor systems and driverless transport systems. Simple and inexpensive retrofitting of existing safety systems can also be achieved wirelessly with this system. The device allows connection of up to 3 two-channel safety transmitters (E-stop, LC, safety gate, two-hand, etc.), simple configuration, and comprehensive sampling and diagnostic options. Radio controlled safety system UH 6900 - In group mode
The radio controlled safety system UH 6900 of the SAFEMASTER W series, consisting of one group controller and up to 255 group receivers for the safety-related, wireless transmission of emergency stop and control functions, offers more flexibility in safeguarding hazardous areas. High availability, long range and safety are achieved by implementing the latest radio technologies. With the group controller, several receivers can be safely switched off via a unidirectional, safetyrelated radio link. Furthermore, the controller can exchange message, control and status information with a receiving device. The devices enable the connection of up to 3 two-channel safety sensors (emergency stop, LC, safety door, two-hand etc.) and offer simple configuration as well as extensive evaluation and diagnostic options. The main areas of application include mobile applications such as fully automated floor conveyors and driverless transport systems. A simple and cost-effective retrofitting of existing safety systems can also be realized without wiring.
