The company develops one of the world’s leading design software solutions for machine and panel builders. EPLAN is also the ideal partner to streamline challenging engineering processes.
Both standardised as well as customised interfaces to ERP and PLM/PDM systems ensure data consistency along the whole value chain. EPLAN was founded in 1984 and is part of the owner-operated Friedhelm Loh Group. The Friedhelm Loh Group operates worldwide with 12 production sites and 95 international subsidiaries. EPLAN Preplanning | Technical Preplanning Goes Digital for Electrical Design Projects
EPLAN Preplanning engineering design software enables you to save engineering data early in the preplanning process. This data can include actuators and sensors for a plant system, machine or building. You can import data from external tabular sources and also enter plant system or machine overviews and graphical process and instrumentation diagrams. This allows you to quickly generate initial data sheets or specifications for materials procurement. You can also access the data collected in EPLAN Preplanning to use in downstream planning phases in engineering.

3D control cabinet model supports service and maintenance Whether you are called out as a service technician to a system fault or carry out maintenance work as a service provider for system operators: With EPLAN eVIEW AR, you can use augmented reality to overlay control cabinets with the digital twin from EPLAN Pro Panel right during operation. This means you have important information on installed components from the EPLAN Data Portal and even the circuit diagram of the entire system at your fingertips: anytime and anywhere via your mobile device. Your added value: - Get a quick haptic overview of the control cabinet layout and the installed components. - Use the visual highlighting in the 3D model and the jump function from the circuit diagram to quickly identify the components that are relevant in the event of a fault. - Note changes made to the enclosure directly in the 3D model using redlining and greenlining. - Guide technical service providers during routine maintenance or faults, even without having to be on site yourself.
