SCARA Robots for increased productivity
Speed meets precision - fast, accurate assembly and handling Offering the next level in speed and precision, FANUC SCARA robots are ideally suited to assembly, pick and place, inspection and packaging applications. Depending on your needs, FANUC SCARA robots are available with either 3kg, 6kg or 12 kg payload capacities. All models operate in a 360° envelope and, by virtue of their pedestal-mount design, occupy a small space-saving footprint. Integrated services prevent the risk of snagging. Like its smaller counterparts, the SR-12iA comes with FANUC’s state-of-the-art software and features. It is powered by the R-30iB Compact Plus controller and integrates the image processing tool iRVison, the logistics software iRPickTool, conveyor tracking, fieldbus connectivity, integrated safety, and most other software options. For easy robot set-ups and programming, the model offers FANUC’s new SCARA iRProgrammer. This software interface runs on tablets or PCs and can be easily accessed through a web browser. Thus, the SR-12iA is continuing to bring proven FANUC quality and service to the world of SCARA robots.

SCARA Robot SR-3iA/U
The ceiling-mounted, fast and precise FANUC SR-3iA/U robot eliminates the so-called ‘dead zone’ that conventional SCARA robots typically suffer. No space is lost in the center of the work envelope as the entire workspace underneath the arm can be utilised. Furthermore, the design and specification of the SR-3iA/U make it a cost-effective, easy-to-configure alternative to more costly delta robots in a host of assembly, packaging and material handling applications. With a push-down force of 150 N, the robot can fulfil a myriad of ‘pick and place’ material handling and packaging applications thanks to its very high-speed capabilities.

New CNC FS500i-A
Optimised for performance, the new FS500i-A will offer a number of important innovations. For instance, operators are set to benefit from FANUC’s new iHMI2 CNC interface, which maintains the appealing look and feel of FANUC’s iHMI but combines it with the familiar operability of legacy systems. For every task, all interactions can be handled on one screen so that there is no need to jump between several of them. The FS500i-A will also provide the potential to program PMC (programmable machine control) systems using ISO-defined Structured Text language, while a further new function is the simplification of processes that require programming in five axes. Specifically, using a special tool, the future FS500i-A offers the ability to accommodate any arbitrary machine kinematics.

FANUC CNC Systems - Everything Under Control!
Flexible CNC systems and system solutions FANUC offers the widest range of CNC systems in the industry - from inexpensive controls with powerful functions to high-performance control systems for complex machine tools. Controllers, motors and amplifiers, cables and connectors are supplied as tailor-made packages - easy to install and tailored exactly to your needs. All FANUC CNC systems can be quickly programmed and are easy to operate. For the highest quality and short cycle times.

FANUC Assisted Reality (FAR)
Quick help in the event of machine standstill The tool, which takes the form of an app, helps FANUC service engineers to analyse machine failures remotely and safely. "Thanks to FAR, in some cases we were able to find a solution for our customers within 20 minutes," says Rolf Urban, Business Development Manager, Customer Service, FANUC Europe. “This is because the problem is often not rooted in the hardware, but somewhere else in the system, such as in the programming.” He continues: "FAR enables our service engineers to exchange images and videos with customers via a secure data connection, and write annotations in real time. This gives us a clear understanding of what is happening in the machine’s environment and simplifies remote troubleshooting.” Even in cases when FANUC dispatches a service engineer to the customer's production site, FAR facilitates the planning of spare parts and tools, which can also shorten the service visit. Currently, FANUC's service interventions across Europe average less than 26 hours. In the future, thanks to FAR, Urban estimates that it could take an average of less than 24 hours to complete the repair from the time of customer call. Meanwhile, FANUC continues to expand the capabilities of its digital service. Already, the integration of an automatic translation function facilitates remote service support across different countries. Moving forward, FANUC is exploring the addition of features such as live data visualisation, smart glasses and repair instructions via explanatory video.
