Getriebebau NORD is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of drive technology – for mechanical and electronic solutions. The range of products includes geared motors, motors, industrial gear units, frequency inverters, motor starters and frequency inverters for decentralised drive control.
NORD produces a very diverse range of gear units for torques from 10 Nm to over 250,000 Nm, supplies electric motors in the power range from 0.12 to 1,000 kW and also manufactures the necessary drive electronics up to 160 kW using frequency inverters. NORDAC PRO - SK 500P - Frequency Inverter
The NORDAC PRO is a frequency inverter for all drive applications. Even in the basic SK 500P version, the NORDAC PRO provides great versatility. The advanced SK 530P version extends this scope and can be functionally extended with optional SK CU5 modules. The SK 550P has an integrated multi-protocol Ethernet interface for efficient connection to Ethernet-based control systems. Easy operation of the NORDAC PRO is achieved with a Bluetooth interface, an SD memory card as the storage medium for parameters, firmware and operating data, as well as a USB interface which enables parameterisation of the inverter “in the box”. Use of the latest components enables a very compact design and therefore space-saving installation.

NORD produces three geared motor series with high output torques and high efficiency for a wide variety of applications in more than 100 industries.
IE5+ synchronous motors
The new generation of NORD IE5+ synchronous motors is manufactured in-house for use in intralogistics as well as in the food and beverage industry. Our motors feature a compact and hygienic design in a very small space and thus ensure high corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. The permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is optionally available as an nsd tupH or IP69K version. The motor-integrated encoder is standard and an integrated mechanical brake is optional. By using the motor, the number of versions and operating costs are reduced. It is compatible with all gear units and frequency inverters from the NORD modular products.
DuoDrive - Two become one.
DuoDrive is a revolutionary integrated gear unit/motor concept in hygienic wash-down design. It combines the high-efficiency IE5+ motor and a single-stage helical gear unit in one housing. Thanks to its optimised system efficiency, high power density and very low noise emissions, it is especially suitable for users in the fields of intralogistics, food and pharmaceutical industries. Together with its simple plug-and-play commissioning, the complete DuoDrive solution results in a significant reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) compared to other drive systems.
NORD UNIVERSAL motor
The new and energy-efficient UNIVERSAL motor from NORD DRIVESYSTEMS extends the motor portfolio for the most important world markets such as Europe, USA, Canada, China or Russia. It has the CE, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, ISI and UA certifications and is available with a power range from 0.12 to 45 kW. As standard, the UNIVERSAL motor is equipped with a temperature sensor (TF).
