The high-performance web panels based on Arm® NXP i.MX8M Mini/Plus processors are ideally suited for the visualization of devices and machines as well as building automation applications. The product line features a modern, attractive design, capacitive multitouch technology, and optically bonded high-resolution IPS displays in sizes 5", 7", 10.1", and 15.6". Versions with aluminum or stainless-steel frames are available, specifically designed for industrial use. Thanks to their modular design, the panels can be flexibly and easily adapted to customer-specific requirements.

Kontron expands its HMI portfolio with more powerful control panels based on Arm® NXP i.MX8M Plus processors for device and machine control as well as building automation. The new product line offers significantly higher computing and graphics performance, greatly expanded connectivity, and a wide range of functions. Numerous interfaces enable communication with a wide variety of fieldbuses and cloud connections. In addition, the control panel provides extensive customization options thanks to its internal M.2 slot and an additional expansion connector. The high-performance control panel series combines premium design with scalable performance for device and machine control as well as building automation. The product line is specifically designed for control cabinet mounting. For fast and efficient implementation of demanding automation and visualization solutions, it is also available with CODESYS SoftPLC. Depending on performance requirements, variants with Arm® i.MX6 or i.MX8M Plus processors and different memory configurations are available. The control panels are designed for long-term availability (>10 years) and can be customized and optimized to meet individual requirements.

CU Control Unit 6X – powerful, fanless, compact

This powerful controller series combines an industrial, compact design with a wide range of interfaces. The series is based on the long-term available NXP i.MX8M Plus quad-core Arm® processor, delivering high performance in a small footprint and making it ideally suited for cost-sensitive control and IoT gateway applications. Thanks to their compact, fanless design, these controllers are perfectly suitable for installation in environments with limited space. The wide variety of interfaces enables communication with numerous fieldbuses as well as cloud connections. In addition, the control unit offers extensive customization options through its internal M.2 slot, expansion connector, and a Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN)-capable Ethernet interface, allowing adaptation to a broad range of application requirements. For the fast and efficient implementation of demanding automation and visualization solutions, the controllers are optionally available with CODESYS® SoftPLC. The controllers are designed for long-term availability (>10 years) and can be customized and optimized to meet individual customer requirements.

A key feature is the LTE Cat1 module, which ensures a highly reliable and fast connection for IoT applications. It provides an excellent alternative when integration into the company’s internal network is not possible. As standard, the AL i.MX8M Mini LTE is equipped with the secure, hardened Linux®-based operating system KontronOS as well as KontronGrid, a comprehensive IoT device management solution for edge devices. This ensures the highest security standards and protection of sensitive data.
