Lütze AG
About us
A tradition in automation for over 60 years - With countless pioneering achievements, LÜTZE is today one of the leading firms in industry worldwide.
Since 1979 Lütze AG in Siebnen is a succsessful member of worldwide active LUETZE INTERNATIONAL GROUP and supplies the Swiss market with efficient automation solutions from LÜTZE.
Friedrich Lütze (1923-2014) founded Lütze GmbH in Weinstadt near Stuttgart in 1958. Since then, electronic and electrotechnical components and system solutions for automation and high tech for rail engineering have been designed and produced there.
With ground-breaking innovations and international patents, the company, still young at the time, was already calling attention to itself. With the launch of the LSC system for switch cabinet wiring in 1972, switch cabinet manufacturers could for the first time save up to 25% more space than the conventional layout. In the early 1960s, LÜTZE was among the first suppliers in the world featuring its highly flexible cables.
Since the founding of the firm over 50 years ago it has been the corporate philosophy to be among the leading suppliers in the automation industry featuring highly innovative products. LÜTZE is investing considerably more in research and development than the industry average.
The family business is managed by the second generation of Udo Lütze.

AirSTREAM - The wiring system
The AirSTREAM wiring system works according to a new design principle and stands out thanks to the many assembly and operation benefits. <h6> AirSTREAM is the core piece of the control cabinet </h6> The strong aluminium frame of the AirSTREAM for state-of-the-art control cabinet installation and wiring, is very compact because the wire guide is integrated into the frame. AirSTREAM helps to design the control cabinet so that the air can circulate better and hot spots can be avoided. The separation into an installation level and a wiring level means that the air can flow past modules and wires virtually unobstructed- removing dissipated heat quickly. The wiring and air guide elements are integrated into the AirSTREAM frame to ensure free convection and cooling of the wires, All the wiring in the AirSTREAM is installed easily from the front. And cable ducts do not interfere with circulation. Dispensing with cable ducts allows the compact installation of several components within narrow dimensional constraints. Also, cooling air always circulates the components and reliably discharges generated heat.

AirSTREAM Compact
AirSTREAM Compact is used in small and compact control cabinets, which are often reduced in depth. The flexible design generates more space in the control cabinet and helps to save lots of time when wiring, mounting and dismantling. Differences to the classic AirSTREAM system The rail profiles on the AirSTREAM Compact are not assembled with brackets but with supports. These stand off supports are available in various lengths to accomodate different application depth requirements. Front wiring The wires are routed over the combs toward the back before being laid laterally across the supports from top to bottom. Easy mounting of larger components The adapter rails are used for fitting surface mounted inverters or other components that are mounted with screws. Additionally some mounting rails have an integrated sliding nut channel that accommodates surface mount components. The advantages at a glance - Slide nut channel with new AirSTREAM stampSlide nut channel with new AirSTREAM stamp - Edge protection (KHS): All rail profiles are supplied with matching edge protection. - Mounting rails (RG 20): Can be used as a mounting rail or as an adapter rail, high flexibility. - EMC accessories: For supporting shielded cables. The EMC accessory is used instead of a comb profile. - Adapter rails (RG 35): With edge protection. - The angle adapter (KSS): is used to align DIN rails on a slant e.g. when using clamps. Attachment on all rail profiles. - Comb variants: A variety of comb sizes are available depending on requirements. Combs can be replaced easily. - Sliding nut variants: All rails are equipped with a sliding nut channel (can be built over on every level). - Hook and loop adapter (KBS): The UL-certified hook and loop adapter enables time-saving and careful attachment of wires, cables and hoses. Various versions - EMC rail: The EMC rail serves as a support for shielded cables.

LÜTZE AirBLOWER fan bank
The AirBLOWER is an accessory for the AirSTREAM wiring frame for fast and reliable climate stabilization inside the control cabinet. The use of an AirBLOWER eliminates the air layers inside the control cabinet to create an homogenous climate. A control cabinet equipped with an AirSTREAM frame cools down more efficiently. Practical tests have demonstrated impressive results. The AirBLOWER makes it possible to reduce the mean temperature in the control cabinet by up to 10 degrees KELVIN. Operating the LÜTZE AirBLOWER requires much less energy than an active cooling aggregate in the control cabinet. Also, the AirBLOWER does not need to be operated permanently, it can be activated in cycles. Attachment variants: Fan module on rail modules: ready-to-install in the lengths 700, 900 and 1100 mm Fan module as a hook-in variant including. attachment adapters Technical data: - Power supply: 24 V DC - Durability at 40°C: 62500 h - Current consumption: approx. 700mA - Temperature range: -40°C to +75°C The control unit LCOS-AB-I controls the AirBLOWER module. This allows freely configurable operation of the fans, and the current operation of the connected fan block.

LCOS – LÜTZE Communication System
With the LCOS, LÜTZE has developed an IP20 housing system that can be used as a system-integrated or a stand-alone solution. LCOS can be extended into a complete modular input-output system through tool-free plug-in energy and/or data modules. The LCOS electronic housing is based on a device carrier that holds the separate housings or the plug-in function units. The patented four-wire bus allows the field side to be supplied with up to 16 current per conductor, which is A rated. This produces functions with an operating voltage of DC 24 V – 500 V or also applications with a current load of DC 32 A. The LÜTZE electronic housing LCOS has UL-approval and can therefore be used worldwide. Less installation effort The amount of material required and installation times are minimized thanks to the feed module and Push-In technology of the LCOS series. The Hot Plug makes it possible to replace individual units in a completely touch proof process during operation. Absolute flexibility! The current control system, which is equipped with the patented LÜTZE shut down characteristic, rounds off the LÜTZE portfolio with products and accessories from the Industrial Ethernet, and current and power supply fields. This allows the creation of a uniform system in the control cabinet with various functions that is directly tailored to the customer's needs. The quantity and position of the individual components within the modular design are irrelevant.

Push-In M12 connector with UL listed
The LÜTZE M12 connectors with Push-In technology, offer lots of advantages for many control cabinet and machine and plant manufacturers because they allow fast and fault-free wiring of prefabricated cables. The tool-free and direct connection, which does not require previous opening of the contact point, guarantees fast wiring. Thanks to the new Push-In-Technology, the insertion forces are very low, which greatly simplifies the connection. In contrast, the pull-out forces are higher so that all connections guarantee a high level of wiring security. Depending on the application, the LÜTZE M12 connectors are suitable for transferring signals, data and power in various versions, either with a straight or angled connector, with the option of shielded or unshielded versions. The angled version allows the cable outlet to be positioned in 45° steps compared to the pole pattern. The LÜTZE M12 connectors with Push-In Technology have the same design as the screw terminal technology and are designed for more than 100 plug cycles. LÜTZE uses a clear color coding system for the wires during assembly. All colors in the connection block are assigned for the actuator sensor area and for the field bus wiring such as CAN-Bus, PROFIBUS, Ethernet and PROFINET, according to the corresponding standards EN 60947-5-2. This means that firstly, it is almost impossible to confuse the PINS, and secondly there is no more need for time-consuming and error-prone recoding of the individual color codes. Advantages: - Always the best connection technology for your M12 application - Simple and tool-free connection with push-in technology - Up to 30% time saving compared to the conventional screw terminal connection - Better contact in case of vibration and shock load due to permanent spring pressure - No conductor sleeves required
