The planetary gearbox for AGVs. Compact and highliy resilient. Whatever the demands that you make of your AGV drive: we can provide you with the ideal gearbox solution for your vehicle. Every detail counts, so that a gearbox can fulfill application-specific requirements in an optimum way. AGVs are designed to transport heavy loads on a continuous basis. The specific structural and mechanical demands are extremely high. However, we fulfill them in a reliable way with our NGV planetary gearboxes. Because the gearboxes impress with their compact design, efficiency and durability. And we have specifically optimized them for use in AGVs.

Even more cost-effective and selection for rack and pinion drives
Neugart is introducing further planetary gearboxes with pinions pre-assembled at the factory. For rack and pinion drives, planetary gearboxes with a factory-mounted pinion offer the ideal drive solution. Neugart is now introducing a particularly economical model with this option and is also refining the corresponding range. This allows design engineers to choose from an even greater number of possible pinion and gearbox combinations when implementing racks. For the first time, Neugart is now offering the PLPE Economy planetary gearbox with a factory-mounted pinion. This provides a particularly economical alternative for selection. The PLPE offers high performance at the price of an economy gearbox: It is based on the proven Neugart economy gearing technology. The reinforced deep groove ball bearings mounted on the output side are designed for greater radial and axial forces – compared to the PLE gearbox. Thanks to the wide range of different motor adapters, the PLPE can be attached to almost all standard servo motors in just a few simple steps. Its compact outer contour also allows it to be used in situations where space is limited. The PLPE is available with a pinion in four frame sizes: 070, 090, 120 and 155. The PK1 series of pinions has also been added to the range. These pinions are mounted on the toothed output shaft of the gearbox. Toothing to DIN 5480 ensures the necessary connection reliability. A total of seven additional PK1 pinions are now available: two with helical teeth and five with straight teeth. The new variants also include a helical and a straight pinion with module 1.5 teeth.

Drive power in frame size 055
New PSBN055, PSN055 and PSFN055 compact precision gearboxes from Neugart The increasing demand for compact servo drives in mechanical engineering has led to a corresponding need for smaller gearboxes that are suitable for these drives. In response to this market need, Neugart is introducing three new precision planetary gearboxes in frame size 055: the PSBN055, PSN055, and PSFN055. These new additions extend the proven capabilities of the Precision Line portfolio. The three new models, PSBN055, PSN055, and PSFN055, are helical gearboxes from the Precision Line PSN, PSFN, and PSBN series in frame size 055. Please note that the frame size refers to the square dimension or centering collar diameter of the output flange, which in this case measures 55 mm in width. Despite their compact dimensions, the gearboxes offer high torque density and high precision in the smallest of installation spaces. These gearboxes are well-suited for use in electronically controlled servo drives of small handling units in packaging and many other machines. All three new developments are available with one or two stages and a range of ratios from i=3 to i=100. These models feature a rotary shaft seal and are rated to protection class IP65. Moreover, their planetary carriers feature a cage design, which greatly enhances the construction's torsional stiffness. Additionally, the torsional backlash can be reduced by 2 arcmin at the customer's option. Individual design details While the three new models share many similarities, they also feature key differences that make them ideal for specific applications. The PSBN055 and PSN055 models feature a smooth output shaft (with either a smooth design or a feather key), a square-type output flange, and robust deep groove ball bearings or preloaded tapered roller bearings. The PSBN055 impresses with its economy and efficiency.

Neugart extends Economy series PLQE and PLFE by smaller frame sizes
PLQE040 The PLQE040 with frame size 040 complements the successful Economy planetary gearbox series PLQE, for which a total of four frame sizes between 040 and 120 are now available. With a centering collar diameter on the output side of just 35 mm, the newcomer presents itself as a true "mini powerhouse" in the Economy family. Depending on the gear ratio, it can transmit nominal torques of up to 20 Nm. The total length of the gearbox, incl. adapter, is just over 9 cm, depending on the selected motor adapter. As on all PLQE gearboxes, the square output flange of the PLQE040 allows uncomplicated mounting on the system without intermediate adapters. Despite its small size, the new PLQE gearbox has high-performance deep groove ball bearings on the output shaft, so that considerable radial forces of up to 390 newtons can still be absorbed here. It is offered with 24 different gear ratios from i=3 to i=512 and is available with either a smooth output shaft or a keyed shaft. PLFE055 With the new PLFE055, the PLFE Economy gearbox series with a flanged output now offers four frame sizes, starting at 055. This newcomer is available in 1- and 2- stage versions and with gear ratios from i=3 to i=100. The centering collar diameter here is 5.5 cm and, depending on the gear ratio, can transmit torques of up to 32 Nm. The support spacing of the deep groove ball bearings on the output side largely corresponds to the larger model PLFE064, so that the PLFE055 can support almost the same radial forces and breakdown torque despite its more compact dimensions. Its flange interface makes it particularly easy to install.

Newly developed Neugart NDF gearbox
Design details fulfill specific requirements The Neugart NDF gearbox meets these special requirements with numerous technical details: For example, the gearbox enables extremely fast changes of direction thanks to a low-inertia clamping system at the input stage, which improves the dynamics and thus the cycle time of the robot. At the same time, the torsional backlash is limited to <1 arcmin as a standard feature. The gearbox with the frame size 090 operates with three specially designed planetary gears in the input stage and four in the output stage. This significantly increases the torsional stiffness and the transmittable torque. Four two-stage transmission ratios, each between i=22 and i=55, are available. The output of the NDF has also received special attention in order to optimally meet the specific requirements of a Delta robot: The gear ratio at the output is i=5.5, which allows transmission of very high torques. The flanged output shaft with torque interface has 12 threaded holes (M8 instead of the usual M6), the output flange has 16 holes (instead of the standard eight for each). The gearbox output shaft only rotates back and forth through a limited angle in Delta robots because of their design, making lubrication more difficult. An optimized radial shaft sealing ring in the NDF ensures optimum sealing of the shaft during rapid changes of direction. A food-grade oil lubrication system is available as an option for the NDF. As an additional option, the NDF can be equipped with a stainless steel output shaft and a nickel-plated output flange. These options increase the corrosion resistance of the gearbox. As a result, it also tolerates frequent cleaning with aggressive media, which is essential in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Online Service
Anyone who uses planetary gearboxes from Neugart can now access relevant digital product information even more easily: A new online service links the physical product directly to the documents and digital functions available for it. The link between the physical gearbox and the digital world is established via a data matrix code (DMC), a 2D code on the gearbox nameplate. This can be scanned via smartphone or tablet, for example. Alternatively, access is possible via a web portal on the Neugart homepage (www.neugart.com). This identification, which is as smart as it is reliable, leads immediately and around the clock to the relevant product information and other functions. The user then receives, for example, a clear list of all the versions of the gearbox in question or can download the appropriate operating and mounting instructions. If customers require a technical adjustment or wish to submit a complaint, they can contact Neugart customer service directly via the connected service request. Furthermore, if a Neugart gearbox shows signs of wear after years of use, an identical replacement gearbox (including express delivery) can be requested conveniently and with just a few clicks via the online service. Currently, Neugart is converting the newly produced gearboxes to a new nameplate layout with integrated DMC. The online service is starting with the essential functions in the after-sales area and will be successively expanded. For instance, in addition to further product-specific information and documents, new functions are also planned.
