Our contribution as a member of the SPE network is to establish the SPE technology on the international market and to initiate new fields of application in the different industries. Industrial Ethernet cable for Industry 4.0
It is not yet possible to predict exactly what Industry 4.0 will look like in automated production. What is certain is that with increasing networking and communication of system components, ever larger amounts of data will have to be transmitted reliably, even under the most difficult conditions. For example, cables and wires are often exposed to enormous torsional loads or extremely high temperatures and come into contact with various chemicals, oils or cleaning agents, particularly in industries such as mechanical engineering, robotics or railway technology. The issue of durability is also of essential importance in relation to Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing sector. In response to the megatrends of digitalisation and Industry 4.0, cable specialist SAB is presenting a highly innovative range of new Category 6, 6A, 7 and 7A Industrial Ethernet cables, which are not only extremely robust but also guarantee fast and efficient data transmission, 70 years after it was founded. The focus is on two Industrial Gigabit Ethernet cables that have been specially developed for the increasing data transmission rates in automation. In addition to the world premiere CATLine CAT 7A RT, a CAT 7A cable suitable for robots, SAB Bröckskes will be presenting a cable suitable for drag chains with UL/CSA approval - CATLine CAT 7A S. In the area of acceleration measurement, such as in the NVH (Noise-Vibration-Harshness) area, in which investigations are carried out into the noise and vibration properties of vehicles (cars & trucks) and machines, the acceleration sensors and microphones used must be wired safely and without interference to the measurement technology used. In the area of piezoelectric acceleration sensors with charge output (charge), the use of special low-noise coaxial cables with low interference voltage is required. Here, the sensitive measuring chain must be protected from additional electrostatic charge generated by movement of the cable so that only the charge generated by the sensor is transferred to the charge amplifier.
