Kontron expands its single-board computer portfolio with the BL i.MX93, based on the dual-core i.MX93 processor from NXP. The board features a dual Arm Cortex-A55 processor running at 1.7 GHz, up to 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and up to 64 GB of eMMC storage.
For machine-learning workloads, an integrated Arm Ethos-U65 microNPU is provided, complemented by a 250 MHz Cortex-M33 co-processor for real-time control tasks.
The board offers a wide range of interfaces, including LVDS for high-resolution displays, MIPI-CSI for camera modules, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as USB, serial interfaces, and CAN bus. This connectivity supports data-intensive applications and seamless integration into networked systems.
Its architecture enables energy-efficient operation, high-performance image and video processing, and deterministic control of machine-level processes. The BL i.MX93 is well suited for automation solutions, industrial vision, machine-learning applications, and networked control systems in energy-efficient environments.
