      Industrial PC systems are indispensable in modern production in almost all areas of application. The requirements in terms of design, performance and environmental conditions are very individual. But reliability and up-to-date technology as well as compliance with applicable standards and regulations are basic requirements. Spectra has more than 40 years of experience in the production of industrial PC systems. We were able to determine that in most cases our pre-configured standard complete systems meet the requirements of our customers or only a few small, individual adjustments are necessary. In order to maintain a wide selection of these standard complete systems, we update our offer regularly. Spectra's product management has developed and tested a new generation of standard complete systems over the last few weeks. All new systems are equipped with the latest processor technology and have the Windows 10 IoT LTSC operating system preinstalled. And of course the systems comply with safety standard EN 62368-1. These pre-configured complete industrial PC systems are examples that customers can use as a guide. All complete systems can of course be individually adapted according to customer requirements.       The Spectra PowerBox 310 is easily adaptable to countless application scenarios. This enables a modular principle with more than 100 variants, which can be obtained simply by combining the numerous additional modules offered by Spectra. For example, two additional 10GLAN or four LAN or PoE ports, also with M12 or M12 X screw connection, can be implemented by simply plugging wireless multi I/O modules into the prepared base. The connections are neatly brought out with the associated brackets. Two mPCIe sockets are available for extensions such as WiFi, GSM, COM, USB, LAN and Firewire as well as various fieldbuses. Spectra offers suitable mPCIe mounting kits for this, consisting of an mPCIe module as well as a suitable cable and bracket. The Spectra PowerBox 310 is compact and lightweight, weighing just 1.75 kg and measuring 203 x 142 x 67 mm. The extended temperature range from -40 °C to 70 °C and the great robustness against shock and vibration enable it to be used in an industrial environment. The mini PC can be equipped individually with RAM, SSD and extensions and is offered as a tested and turnkey complete system including the current operating system.

Fast data processing is supported by 32 GB RAM and two super-fast NVMe M.2 SSDs with 512 GB. The NVDIA RTX A2000 professional graphics card with 4 x mDP1.4a guarantees excellent graphics performance. One PCIe (x16) 4.0 and one PCIe (x8) 4.0 slot are available for additional extensions, as well as two 10GLAN and another four GLAN. Extensive functions for management and monitoring such as IPMI, TPM or remote monitoring increase reliability. Delays, such as those caused by data transmission between the location and the data center, must be avoided. The aim is to process the data directly on the end device and only transmit the results. Edge computers offer an excellent platform for this. These compact IPCs are designed to process data directly on the machine - "on the edge". The most important requirements for the edge computers used can be summarized in three properties: powerful, compact, low-maintenance. The Spectra PowerBox 410 is the ideal mini PC for edge computing. State-of-the-art 9th generation Intel® processors ensure maximum performance. The integrated 9th generation Intel® HD 630 graphics engine guarantees excellent graphics performance. There are three mPCIe slots for WiFi, GSM, COM, LAN or fieldbus extensions and two sockets for LAN or PoE extensions. An M.2 2230 socket forms the basis for additional WiFi or Bluetooth expansion. Two gigabit LAN connections support fast data transport. In total, more than 100 equipment variants can be put together using the plug-and-play principle. This diversity of variants of the Spectra PowerBox 410 can definitely be compared with that of a classic 19" industrial PC, but with dimensions of only 242 x 173 x 77 mm it requires less than a tenth of the volume. The wireless design of the central unit reduces the risk of failure due to a loose plug connection. Depending on the CPU used, the Spectra PowerBox 410 can be used at operating temperatures of -20 °C to +50 °C. The edge computer works without a fan, but can be additionally cooled by an external fan if necessary. A voltage input of 9 to 48 VDC is available for the power supply.

      Modern processes in industrial AI and machine vision are closely linked to image processing. This requires industrial PC systems whose CPU and GPU performance is high enough to process the tasks in real time. The high-end GPU computing system Spectra PowerBox 5000 opens the gates to a whole new dimension in image processing. It consists of a basic system that can be expanded with up to two modular GPU expansion boxes. With the help of this modular structure, the system can be scaled to suit individual requirements. The excellent computing power of the basic system is based on 9th generation Intel® Xeon® or Core™ i3/i5/i7 (Coffee Lake-R) CPUs and an Intel® C246 chipset as well as two DDR4-2666 ECC/non-ECC SO-DIMM bis to 64GB. The compact PC also has four 2.5" hot-swap SATA SSDs and has an M.2 M-Key socket for NVMe SSD storage. Additional I/Os or other functionalities such as 8x GbE LAN/PoE, 6x USB 3.2 and 2x 10 GbE LAN can be implemented using expansion cards. The GPU expansion boxes, which are simply plugged onto the basic system, offer space for two 250 W graphics cards with a length of 328 mm or other PCIe expansion cards with a maximum expansion. The total power consumption is a maximum of 720 W. Of course, these high performance requirements also require a corresponding cooling concept. The effective heat dissipation is achieved by the special case structure and the use of isolated external smart fan kits on both sides of the case. The industrial usability of the high-end GPU computer is additionally supported by the mechanical design of the compact PC, which ensures high shock and vibration resistance, and by the wide current input range from 9 to 48 V.

      Whether as a control terminal on a production line or as an operating unit built into a control cabinet door, the panel PC has become indispensable in industry. It is used more and more frequently in production together with an additional monitor for visualization. A large selection of uniform panel and monitor variants offer both aesthetic and economic advantages. The Spectra PowerTwin series includes industrial panel PCs and monitors. In case of over- or underfrequency, violation of the set window range or wrong direction of rotation the frequency monitor shuts off safely, proving its benefit over frequency converters with integrated safety functions in any application where simplicity, flexibility, and safety are required. As an additional protective measure, the device can be adapted to an application by pressing just a few buttons.
