CAD automation and process optimisation

MuM helps companies to digitise existing analogue processes and eliminate media breaks in order to reduce errors and shorten development times.

Design configurators:
MuM implements specific product configurators for standardised yet customised products. These enable order-specific components, 3D models and manufacturing drawings to be generated automatically without the need for manual programming skills.

MuM add-on tools:
Going beyond the standard Autodesk suite, MuM develops its own add-on applications and industry-specific solutions that bridge gaps in the standard functionality and accelerate workflows (e.g. MuM PDM Booster, MuM Multitool).

PDM/PLM process optimisation:
Using structured PDM and PLM systems, Mensch und Maschine optimises approval, change and revision processes relating to product and design data. Information is managed in a traceable, rule-based and secure manner.
Whilst PDM brings design data under control, PLM goes one step further: It links product data, processes and departments throughout the entire life cycle, from the initial idea to series production. This enables all stakeholders to work from a shared data base, makes decisions more transparent and ensures that product development is scalable in the long term.

Bidirectional interfaces:
Mensch und Maschine implements interfaces between CAD, PDM/PLM and ERP systems. For example, data can be transferred from the PDM to the PLM and/or the ERP, and metadata as well as finished drawings, bills of materials or automated documents in formats such as PDF, DXF or STEP can be transferred to the ERP. This creates seamless data flows between design, work planning, procurement, production and other areas of the business.
