The BLDC ECF45 flat motors are 16-pole external rotor motors. The advantage of this design compared to internal combustion engines is the shorter design with the same power and the lower torque ripple due to the higher moment of inertia of the rotor. The compact motors are particularly suitable for applications with limited space.
