For over 75 years, Franke has consistently convinced its customers with innovative, highly individualized storage solutions. Erich Franke invented a new type of bearing in 1936 while searching for a particularly space-saving design: the Wire Race Bearing. Over the years we have consistently enhanced his principle of four race rings. Today our product program includes rotative and linear components – with and without drive. We employ a workforce of over 340 at our headquarters in Aalen. We are also represented at many locations throughout the world.

Our systems are so fast and accurate that areas of contamination and even the slightest defect can be detected and classified in real time at high production speeds. When combined with marker-free individual component tracking and tracing technologies, our optical sensors and measurement systems can make 100 percent reliable real-time production control a reality — often for the first time. This facilitates the implementation of modern production strategies in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Getriebebau NORD is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of drive technology – for mechanical and electronic solutions. The range of products includes geared motors, motors, industrial gear units, frequency inverters, motor starters and frequency inverters for decentralised drive control. NORD produces a very diverse range of gear units for torques from 10 Nm to over 250,000 Nm, supplies electric motors in the power range from 0.12 to 1,000 kW and also manufactures the necessary drive electronics up to 160 kW using frequency inverters.
