New versions for NS series safety switches with solenoid and RFID technology
The NS series safety switches with solenoid and RFID technology, now come with the new mode 3 for safety output activation. In the versions with mode 1 the OS safety outputs are active when the actuator is both inserted and locked, so that the actuator cannot be extracted with safety outputs activated. Mode 2 allows the actuator to be released while keeping the safety chain enabled. Mode 3 combines the functions of modes 1 and 2: a safety output is active when the actuator is both inserted and locked, while the second safety output is active when the actuator is only inserted. This allows two single-channel independent circuits to be combined in a single device and to emulate traditional electromechanical interlocking devices with guard locking, without complex machine wiring modifications. The management of the two channels also includes the inputs, so that multiple devices can be connected in series.

New version of GEMNIS Studio programming software
The software for programming the modules of the Gemnis series is available in the new Gemnis Studio version 12 which has a fully updated graphic layout and new programming functionality. With retractable side panels housing the sensors and function blocks, the field available for working in the programme is now larger and neater, with the option of choosing between light and dark display themes. The advanced menu groups the sensors according to electrical type so as to guide the programmer in choosing the correct sensor for the project. New function blocks with mathematical functions have been introduced which are very useful for applications with frequency inputs for speed control or with current inputs for analogue sensors. Another important new feature is the option of disabling the test pulses of the PNP safety outputs. The electronic safety outputs of the Gemnis modules are always protected and monitored for dangerous faults. In order to perform this monitoring, test impulses (i.e. very short switch-offs of the outputs) are created in the safety outputs while the outputs are active. These test impulses are generally undetectable on passive loads (contactors or similar); in rare cases, however, they can disturb the inputs of digital devices such as PLCs or electronic drives. With Gemnis Studio 12, it is possible to disable the test impulses of the PNP safety outputs in cases where the application requires it. Faults such as short-circuits to the external positive pole are still detectable when the outputs are switched off. The new Gemnis Studio 12 software is completely retro-compatible and capable of programming modules from previous generations equipped with Kernel 10 or 11. The new software incorporates a new remote support management system which allows you to receive help from Pizzato technical support directly from the Gemnis Studio software window with just a few clicks.
ST series safety sensors with RFID technology
ST series safety sensors are suitable for the monitoring of protective devices on machines without inertia and allow the system in which they are used to reach a safety category up to SIL 3, PL e and Category 4. These sensors use RFID technology and provide high protection against any manipulation thanks to a unique code transmitted by the actuator. Since they have no mechanical elements, they guarantee a long service life even in applications with frequent operating cycles and under harsh environmental conditions. Their protection degree is rated IP67 and IP69K and they mantain the maximum safety level PL e, even when connecting up to 32 sensors in series. It is possible to choose among 3 kinds of actuators with different fixing and actuating directions. This means that the sensors can be installed on all types of machines and guards, both large and small.

Buttons can be easily wired inside the switch through terminal blocks with a PUSH-IN spring connection. In order to meet the various needs of its customers, Pizzato Elettrica provides different configurations and combinations of control and signalling devices for the NG safety switch: buttons, signalling lights, emergency buttons, selectors, different contact blocks etc. Buttons can be illuminated in a fast and intuitive way through the internal terminals for wiring the LEDs. NG safety switches with control devices can be combined with the P-KUBE 2 handle to obtain a compact and solid metal body, incorporating an RFID safety switch with a pin for the centering of the door, an anti-panic release, an adjustable handle with a lock-out device to be closed with a padlock and a control console.

BN series control device units
The BN series control device units are a versatile modular product that adapts to any application requirement. The main feature of the new BN series is easy installation, as the in-line holes make it simple to fit and wire the device: as it's a plug-and-play device in fact, all you have to do is plug the connector in. Furthermore, in the case of a fault or damage, it can be replaced immediately thanks to the monolithic design of the control device unit, without the need for rewiring, avoiding any possible errors. The control device unit is designed with non-detachable, turnable modules that offer the user various installation options on-board the machine. The BN series control device unit is available in various configurations for various types of product applications: for standard applications, configurations with 1,2,3 or 4 devices are most suitable, while configurations with 6, 7 or 8 devices are available for more complex applications to provide the user with more control and signalling devices at the same location. The control devices are recessed in the outer housing of the control device unit so they're protected from accidental knocks, meaning longer operational life. They only protrude a little from the front, so the BN series remains within a max. width of just 40 mm. In all the configurations, a variety of control devices can be installed, also illuminated by integrated LEDs. The new Pizzato Elettrica BN series modular control device units have the same shape and dimensions as the RFID safety switches with lock of the NS series, giving machine manufacturers who already use these products the chance to create a visually uniform device and adopt an aesthetically pleasing solution.

RFID safety sensors with magnetic holding ST H series
New possibilities for ST series safety sensors Pizzato Elettrica further expands its range of ST series RFID safety sensors with the introduction of the new ST H version. The ST H series RFID sensors are equipped with all the technical and operating features already available in the ST G series, including: M12 plastic or stainless steel connector; Multicolour signalling LED, visible from both sides of the housing; Multitag programming; Versions for wide temperature ranges from -35°C to +85°C. Magnetic holding of the actuator Devices of the ST H series can be configured with a permanent magnet incorporated inside the housing, able to generate a holding force between sensor and actuator. This way, the guard can be kept closed even where there are vibrations, after a recoil during closing, or in areas where air turbulence tends to open the lighter guards. The magnetic holding force can be selected among three different magnitudes, in order to adapt to any usage situation. Symmetrical housing, standard hole spacing The symmetry of the housing allows the same sensor to be used on both left and right doors; by simply rotating the sensor onto itself. The 78 mm mounting hole spacing facilitates the replacement of the traditional SR B magnetic sensors with an advanced RFID safety sensor. ADVANTAGES: All the already existing technology from the ST G series of sensors; User configurable magnetic holding force of the actuator; The symmetrical housing makes it easy to mount; Same mounting hole spacing (78 mm) as for SR B series devices; Compatible with all ST series actuators; The protection degrees IP67 and IP69K allow the use in the toughest conditions.

NS series with integrated control devices
The NS series of safety switches now is also available in the version with a long housing, where 1,2,3 or 4 control devices and the relevant contact blocks can be installed in the body of the switch itself. The housing hole of the control devices is designed so that they protrude as little as possible from the switch body. The result is a compact solution, that doesn't require additional installation on the switch panel or in a specific housing. The updated NS series offers a large number of configurations, and is thus able to satisfy any application requirements. It is possible to choose from a wide variety of control devices of different types and colours such as selectors, buttons or emergency stop buttons, which can also be illuminated. The new version also has different electrical connection options: in fact you can choose between the versions with two M12 12-pole connectors or one M23 12 or 19-pole connector, with axial output direction. This version has all the modular and orientation features that characterise the NS switches, as well as the numerous input/output configuration options and is compatible with P-KUBE Krome safety handles.

Remote Escape Release
An unprecedented innovation among the Pizzato safety devices, the remote escape release allows the safety switch to be unlocked remotely in cases where conventional release devices are not easily accessible due to the configuration of the machinery. The Pizzato Elettrica remote escape release, which can be attached to the NG and NS series RFID safety switches with guard locking, is equipped with an innovative safety mechanism which causes the machine to stop immediately and safely in the event that the cable should break or loosen. The activation of the release, as well as any failure or anomaly, are indicated by a control arrow that is positioned at the relative symbols marked on the device, allowing a quick diagnosis by the user. There is also a graphic display that indicates the correct tension of the actuation cable, in order to facilitate its installation. The remote escape release can be turned in 90° steps to select the cable outlet orientation most suitable for the application on the machine. The compact housing for the the escape release button must be connected to the opposite end of the actuation cable; there are two installation options for this enclosure which has a rugged internal metallic structure: screwed to the outside of the guard chassis, which is closed by covering with the cap; inside the guard chassis, on a panel with standard Ø 22 mm holes, leaving only the mushroom activation button visible. The remote escape release on the NS series safety devices already equipped with a front or rear release device can also be installed at a later time by means of a simple procedure for uninstalling the upper block of the switch. This makes it possible to use the safety switches that are already present with no need to buy another entire device.

P-KUBE Smart safety handle
The P-KUBE Smart safety handle, combined with our ST series RFID safety sensors, creates a modern, effective interlock system for all guards on machines without inertia. The handle integrates an RFID TAG that can be detected by the sensors of the ST family as if it were a normal actuator. The RFID TAG is contained in an orientable block inside the handle, which can be rotated in three directions, so that it can always be oriented toward the sensor. This makes the handle suitable for any installation; it can be used on hinged or sliding doors that open to the right or to the left and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The P-KUBE Smart safety handle has a modern, ergonomic design and features a grip with front band available in satin chrome or backlit white finishes, as well as the option of integrating a control button to interact with the machinery. The RGB LED technology featured by the backlit grip allows local signalling of the guard status using different colours and fully customisable sequences that are visible from a great distance, even in bright environments. For applications on light or compact guards it is possible to opt for the version with fixing directly on the grip, while for heavier guards, the handle can be fixed by means of an internal, painted steel auxiliary plate whose 5-mm thickness guarantees ruggedness and high durability. The cable for electrical connections exits at the back of the device and can therefore be easily housed inside the guard chassis so as to make it completely invisible. This feature has a double advantage: contributing to the aesthetics of the machine and ensuring that the cable is protected from damage and tampering. The P-KUBE Smart handle is available with PVC cable connections or with cable and integrated M12 connector. The P-KUBE Smart is also available in versions without RFID tags, so that it can be used as a simple handle for opening the guard.

This new model, made of a strong technical plastic, is ergonomic and functional whilst maintaining the distinctive modern design of the P-KUBE family. The handle is compatible with FG and FY series safety locking switches. The sliding grip enables easy and immediate activation of the switch. With the actuator fixed directly to the handle, its removal is impossible, ensuring a greater level of security. The symmetrical design of the P-KUBE Lite safety handle makes it unique on the market and enables installation from multiple sides, regardless of its configuration. It can be installed on hinged or sliding doors, both on the left or right side. The strong centring pin on the handle has a dual purpose: It means the actuator must be correctly inserted into the switch, preventing misalignment of the doors and consequent failed activation of the switch. It prevents direct collision between the switch and actuator in the event that the door is closed with force. The use of snap-on protection caps prevents tampering with fixing screws on the handle and enables free installation with standard screws instead of tamper-proof screws. Integration options - Block button; - Key lock; - Device for locking the handle in the open position; - Lock-out system; - Internal lever for emergency escape.

Restyling of position switches for standard applications
The restyling of switches in the families FR, FM, FK, FX, FT and FW for standard applications is driven by our mission to offer solutions that are always at the cutting edge in terms of technical, functional and aesthetic qualities. In fact, on top of the new design, the product is now quicker to install and offers improved operation and adjustment of switches. The design update includes changing the colour from black to anthracite grey, in line with other Pizzato products. On top of this, switches now feature a more attractive rounded shape. For easier and quicker wiring, a hinged cover with non-detachable gasket has been introduced. This means that when the switch is opened, the cover remains hooked to the body. In addition, the cover features a captive fixing screw. Laser engraving on the cover replaces labels on the switches, for greater durability and resistance even to the most difficult conditions of use. For optimal installation, mounting holes are now fitted with metal plates, also available in stainless steel, enabling more secure fixing of screws. - New levers: the levers have been updated with models featuring the same dimensions but offering new functionality.
