      Customised and cost-optimised drive controls

Ready-to-order drive controllers are inexpensive in the development phase, but include unnecessary functions and result in high unit prices in series production. The flexible design of our motion control platform enables us to develop your individual solution tailored to your needs in the shortest possible time. You define the required specifications and we design your cost-optimised control system. The advantages - Cost reduction through tailor-made solutions - Perfect adaptation to your own mechanics - Increased innovation through rapid market introduction - Competitive advantage in your industry Project example (the full story can be found in the download area): A new control module was developed to improve the cost-effectiveness and user-friendliness of an existing furniture moving system. It reduces manufacturing costs and significantly simplifies assembly and commissioning for the customer. Integrated obstacle detection and absolute position The motor control has integrated obstacle detection, eliminating the need for external sensors. A cost-effective SSI absolute encoder enables precise position detection. The system can reliably control up to three pieces of furniture simultaneously. From prototype to series production The project encompassed the entire development process – from the concept phase to prototypes to a solution ready for series production. The control unit, firmware, cabling and mechanical interfaces were completely redesigned. Suitable assembly and testing devices were created for series production. Maximised customer benefit through system integration -Significant cost reduction through the elimination of external sensors and simplified cabling -Easy installation thanks to assembly-friendly design -Modular design for flexible adaptation to different applications

Drive technology from concept to certification

We combine proven standard products with customised, cost-optimised drive solutions – perfectly tailored to your requirements. From evaluation, design and validation to product certification and support. - Customised drive systems - System integration and optimisation - Prototypes and accompanying studies Project example (full story available in the download area): Antrimon developed a unique valve actuator for a global equipment manufacturer facing extreme operating conditions. The requirements were demanding: operation in ATEX and IECEx Zone 22, ambient temperatures from 5 to 50 °C, lifetime exceeding 10 million cycles, high continuous and acceleration torque at low speeds, minimal heat generation and maximum energy efficiency – all in a compact design with worldwide certifications (ATEX, IECEx, CE, UL). No such solution existed on the market. Antrimon’s answer was a fully customised brushless outer-rotor motor combined with a two-stage planetary gearbox. The design focused on delivering maximum torque at the lowest speed, exceptional robustness and reliability. With a maintenance-free concept – no brushes, no oil changes – the actuator is built for continuous heavy-duty operation. The entire process, from feasibility analysis and mechanical/electronic design to prototyping, extreme-condition validation, certification and series production, was handled in-house. The result: significantly lower energy consumption compared to pneumatic systems, extended maintenance intervals, improved process safety and full global compliance. This solution gives the customer a clear competitive edge in international plant engineering. Antrimon is the only provider worldwide able to deliver such a certified solution economically from concept to series production.

    4. FlexLineCell+ Foundation for Efficient Machine Design

FlexLineCell+ Foundation for Efficient Machine Design

With the FLC+, we are expanding the FLC series for components that require slightly more installation space due to their geometry. Here, we place the process modules directly on the floor and simply omit the tabletop on work surfaces; everything else remains the same. The modular design of the FLC+ allows us to always implement the optimal assembly process. We are flexible in our choice of process modules and connect them as efficiently as possible using robots.

    5. For safety applications with cyber security

For safety applications with cyber security

Functional safety in Industrial Ethernet is essential for the safe operation of industrial systems. The risk of accidents and failures can be minimised through the implementation of safety protocols, continuous monitoring and compliance with international standards. As a long-standing safety sensor specialist, Kübler is now expanding its safe Industrial Ethernet encoder platform with the latest SIL2 and SIL3 certified Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE) protocol. The S58x8FSX encoder transmits up to 15 bits safe or up to 24 bits non-safe, as well as fully redundant multiturn information of 12 bits safe. Thanks to the platform architecture, this is realised in exactly the same design as the S58 PROFIsafe encoder. Updates can be carried out easily via FoE (File over EtherCAT) without the need for a web server. This simplifies the maintenance process considerably and ensures that the encoder always remains state-of-the-art. The Sendix encoder offers great benefits, particularly due to its high system availability. Equipped with cyber security and protection mechanisms against hacker attacks and misuse in accordance with IEC 62443, the encoder ensures a safe and reliable connection in safety-critical applications.

    10. Static Code Analysis: Identifying Errors Early On

Static Code Analysis: Identifying Errors Early On

With the growing complexity of automation software, code quality assurance is becoming increasingly important. SIGMATEK's LASAL CLASS engineering tool now offers an optional “Static Code Analysis” (SCA) extension for checking control code created in Structured Text. SCA checks the code base for possible runtime errors and undefined behavior, such as uninitialized variables, returning a pointer to a local variable, implicit conversions, etc. – without having to execute the code. A large number of different, simultaneously running test rules analyze a wide variety of aspects of the control code and identify any quality defects, non-compliance with guidelines, or violations of internal coding standards at an early stage. Trivial errors that are often difficult to find can be prevented by using SCA, reducing the workload on the team and increasing productivity and software quality, not only during development but also during maintenance. Users have very flexible configuration options: each of the more than 50 predefined rules for variables, types, functions, and methods can be parameterized individually. The tool can also calculate metrics. Metrics are measures that evaluate various aspects of the code base. Fully configurable naming conventions are also possible. The rules, metrics, or naming conventions can be enabled or disabled – both individually and in groups. Automated basic checks allow reviewers to focus on the correctness of the logic and architecture. The analysis in a separate output window clearly displays error messages, which can be double-clicked to jump to the corresponding location in the code. Configurable, color-coded priority levels for individual errors in the output provide clarity. Error output can be suppressed line by line using code comments.

    11. uKonn-X – The digital solution for seamless electrical installation technology

uKonn-X – The digital solution for seamless electrical installation technology

At the heart of uKonn-X is a software solution that uses customer data such as electrical PDF circuit diagrams, etc., to create a bill of materials (BOM). The software then generates a clear, interactive 2D/3D view of the assembly or the entire machine. uKonn-X generates digital navigation maps, similar to Google Maps, where the BMK of the components used, such as sensors and actuators, fieldbus modules, and connectors, are the street names and house numbers. This system guides the user to their destination and allows them to see exactly where the electrical components are located and how they are correctly wired on their mobile device. SCAN Assembly department employees scan the components marked with QR codes using handheld scanners. Their positions are immediately displayed in the 2D layout view or in the 3D machine model. INSTALLATION The positioning of the components and the start and end points of the cable connections are visually highlighted. Even people who are unfamiliar with the location are guided intuitively and can reach the specified connection point without in-depth technical knowledge. DOCUMENTATION Once a task has been completed, the user confirms that the assembly has been carried out correctly, thereby triggering documentation in the program and enabling the next task in the assembly process to be carried out until completion. The production management team has live access to data on work progress and expected completion, as well as a readiness report.
