Expansion of ESCHA’s M12 push-pull flange range

ESCHA GmbH & Co. KG is expanding its range of instrument interfaces to include M12 push-pull flanges for industrial applications.

Push-pull technology enables quick and intuitive plug-in connection without the need for screws. The connector is simply plugged in and locks automatically, thereby reducing assembly times and simplifying maintenance processes. At the same time, the locking mechanism ensures a secure connection even in environments subject to vibration and shock, such as those found in machinery, conveyor systems or mobile applications.

The various coding schemes cater to different industrial applications. A-coded variants are suitable for traditional sensor/actuator applications as well as signal and power cables. D-coded connectors are typically used for Industrial Ethernet applications such as Fast Ethernet. For data-intensive applications, the X-coding is available, which is designed for Industrial Ethernet with data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s.

Depending on the version, the flanges can be combined with different cable types, including Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7-based Ethernet cables as well as industrial fieldbus cables. This enables flexible integration into various device and system concepts.
The new M12 push-pull flanges comply with the relevant international connector standards. These are based on DIN EN IEC 61076-2-010, which defines the interface and the push-pull locking mechanism for M12 push-pull circular connectors. At the same time, the flanges are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing M12 installations – including tried-and-tested coding systems and compatibility with established counterparts in the industrial sector.
