Real-time monitoring with Moxa’s remote I/Os
Today’s industry relies on real-time data and smart devices to boost efficiency. Moxa’s remote I/Os are a modern solution for this transformation. They offer proactive intelligence, easy commissioning and industrial-grade reliability.
With the push communication feature of the ioLogik E1200 series, these remote I/Os only send data when changes occur, thereby reducing unnecessary network traffic. Unlike pull-based systems, which constantly poll devices, this method enables faster system responses and reduces overall bandwidth usage.
The ioLogik E1200 devices support the most common protocols for retrieving I/O data and are therefore suitable for a wide range of applications. Most IT engineers use SNMP or RESTful API protocols, whilst OT engineers tend to be more familiar with OT-based protocols such as Modbus and EtherNet/IP. Moxa’s Smart I/Os enable both IT and OT engineers to conveniently retrieve data from the same I/O device. The ioLogik E1200 series supports six different protocols, including Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP and Moxa AOPC for OT engineers, as well as SNMP,
RESTful API and the Moxa MXIO library for IT engineers. Furthermore, the ioLogik E1200 can retrieve data and simultaneously convert it into one of these protocols. This makes it easy to connect different applications effortlessly.
The ioLogik E1200 series comprises ten models, each with up to 16 digital inputs or outputs, or versions with 6 relay contacts. All devices can be mounted on a DIN rail to save space. For applications in demanding environments, the T-versions are available with a temperature range of -40 to +75°C.
