Ketterer motor drives consist of a 24 V DC motor and a worm gear. The motor drives the entire system. In combination with a spindle, linear motion is generated from the rotating motion of the DC motor. The movement is limited to the length of the spindle. The spindle can be connected in two ways. If the spindle is connected as a through-going spindle, the motor drive moves freely on the spindle axis. If the spindle is permanently attached, the motor drive is rigidly installed in the system. Thanks to their compact design and smooth operation, Ketterer motor drives can be used universally.
