The Automation-Line AL i.MX8M Mini LTE, based on Arm® Cortex®-A53 and Arm® Cortex®-M4, expands the product portfolio of existing Linux computers for DIN-rail mounting. The intelligent gateway with LTE connectivity offers extensive communication interfaces and, thanks to its robust housing, is ideally suited for demanding control tasks as well as mobile and wireless IoT solutions. A key feature is the LTE Cat1 module, which ensures a highly reliable and fast connection for IoT applications. It provides an excellent alternative when integration into the company’s internal network is not possible. As standard, the AL i.MX8M Mini LTE is equipped with the secure, hardened Linux®-based operating system KontronOS as well as KontronGrid, a comprehensive IoT device management solution for edge devices. This ensures the highest security standards and protection of sensitive data.

PTFE is a high tech plastic with extraordinary properties. PTFE means Polytetrafluoroethylene. This material has become famous especially under the trademark Teflon of DuPont. Two of the excellent characteristics are the chemical resistance and the physiological innocuousness unrivalled by the other plastics. The temperature resistance also reaches very good values, i.e. almost 300 °C, and the conductivity values as well. The LÜTZE M12 connectors with Push-In technology, offer lots of advantages for many control cabinet and machine and plant manufacturers because they allow fast and fault-free wiring of prefabricated cables. The tool-free and direct connection, which does not require previous opening of the contact point, guarantees fast wiring. Thanks to the new Push-In-Technology, the insertion forces are very low, which greatly simplifies the connection. In contrast, the pull-out forces are higher so that all connections guarantee a high level of wiring security. Depending on the application, the LÜTZE M12 connectors are suitable for transferring signals, data and power in various versions, either with a straight or angled connector, with the option of shielded or unshielded versions. The angled version allows the cable outlet to be positioned in 45° steps compared to the pole pattern. The LÜTZE M12 connectors with Push-In Technology have the same design as the screw terminal technology and are designed for more than 100 plug cycles. LÜTZE uses a clear color coding system for the wires during assembly. All colors in the connection block are assigned for the actuator sensor area and for the field bus wiring such as CAN-Bus, PROFIBUS, Ethernet and PROFINET, according to the corresponding standards EN 60947-5-2. This means that firstly, it is almost impossible to confuse the PINS, and secondly there is no more need for time-consuming and error-prone recoding of the individual color codes. Robuste PW-Schutzfenster für Schaltgehäuse Zum Schutz von Anzeigen, Schalt- und Bedienkomponenten vor Verschmutzung, Nässe und unbefugtem Zugriff führt FIBOX robuste Instrument Protection Windows (PW) mit Abmessungen von 450x400x90 mm sowie 340x300x90 mm im Programm. Die Schutzfenster aus Polycarbonat lassen sich schnell und einfach auf Schaltgehäuse und Pultanlagen verschiedenster Art montieren. Damit bieten sie eine unkomplizierte Alternative zu aufwändig maßgefertigten Lösungen. Beide PW-Modelle bestehen aus einem Rahmen mit durchgehendem Scharnier und einer transparenten Abdeckung. Durch den großen Sichtbereich lassen sich die abgedeckten Schalt-, Anzeige- und Steuerkomponenten auch im geschlossenen Zustand jederzeit gut beobachten. Aufgrund der Innenhöhe von 85 mm werden zum Beispiel auch Schlüsselschalter sicher geschützt. Zur Montage wird der Rahmen einfach um die Bedienelemente angeordnet und innenseitig mit acht Schrauben befestigt. Dabei dichtet der Rahmen ohne weitere Maßnahmen mit dem darunterliegenden Gehäuse rundum sauber ab. Rahmen und Fenster sind rückseitig mit einer eingeschäumten PUR-Dichtung versehen. Die überlappende Konstruktion sorgt für eine erhöhte Festigkeit und Dichtigkeit, so dass bei geschlossenem Fenster eine Schlagfestigkeit von IK09 sowie die Schutzart IP66 bzw. NEMA 4X erreicht werden. Standardmäßig sind die Schutzfenster mit zwei Doppelbartverriegelungen ausgestattet. Auf Wunsch liefert FIBOX die Modelle auch mit Schlössern. With different aperture angles - ±3° (6°), ±7.5° (15°) or a particularly narrow ±1.5° (3°) - they offer maximum focussing for precise positioning tasks and reliable object detection. Thanks to measuring rates of up to 500 Hz, a measuring range of 0.3 m to 40 m and a measuring accuracy of up to ±0.1 mm, they enable a wide range of applications with state-of-the-art radar technology. Thanks to their intuitive operation, the sensors are easy to integrate into existing control concepts. Supported by a PROFINET interface, integrated web server and user-friendly tools, they create transparency in operation and simplify implementation. Whether as a stand-alone solution or in system solutions - the radar sensors combine precision, speed and robustness for the highest requirements.

The sealing of a moving shaft presents a special situation. In addition to the static sealing on one side of the seal, we have to seal the moving shaft. According to the installation, the sealing can be made radially or axially. The proper seals have to be deployed in this complex requirement. Possible seals range from simple shaft seals until compression loadable PTFE lip seals or mechanical seals.
