beckhoff xplanar magnetic levitation technology moves objects magnetically, floating freely and without wear, noise, or hygiene in up to six degrees of freedom. the integrated permanent magnets, combined with mrm² control programming, allow the xplanar movers to transport small and large loads through the production process with exceptional precision. we frequently use the beckhoff xplanar system in our automation solutions when loads need to be transported under particularly demanding conditions, such as strict hygiene requirements, or when high demands are placed on flexibility regarding load capacity and footprint. the movers have a positioning accuracy of 1 μm (x, y, z axes), can be tilted up to 5°, and accelerated to speeds of up to 3 m/s. the load capacity can be lifted by up to 15 mm, which can offer significant added value in robotics projects, for example. during the ongoing process, the position of each individual mover can be precisely queried at any time. this mover identification is provided to the control software and offers significant advantages in terms of quality assurance. the use of high-tech products like the beckhoff xplanar system takes mrm² automation solutions to the next level for our customers! the integration of the xplanar system into our plant simulations demonstrates the system's advantages as early as the quotation phase!
