With a new series of touch-enabled operator panels, DISPLAY VISIONS is targeting the programmable logic controller (PLC) market. The EA HMI operator panels are characterized by brilliant displays at an extremely low price. These new HMI Modbus units enable the quick and easy implementation of user interfaces of all kinds. The EA HMI series displays are available in sizes from 2.8 to 12 inches. Their high screen brightness of 1000 cd/m² ensures excellent readability even in poor lighting conditions or outdoors. Easy integration into existing systems is a key focus of the HMI series. Thanks to support for the widely used Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP communication protocols, the panels are ready for use in no time and communicate seamlessly with over 20 popular PLC models – including solutions from Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric, Finder OPTA, Teknic, Beckhoff, and many more. Limited space but demanding cybersecurity requirements? The Compact Controller 100 combines configurable multi-I/Os with a platform certified to IEC 62443-4-2, Security Level 2. The compact controller combines real-time Linux, CODESYS and Docker in a space-saving DIN-rail housing. Configurable I/Os and an additional RS-485 interface provide flexibility for compact machine and system concepts. An integrated line filter improves electrical robustness. The SL2 certification helps machine builders and system integrators address cybersecurity requirements from component selection through engineering.

The BA500 hydraulic battery-powered tool is suitable for installing electrical crimp connections on cables up to 300 mm2. This crimping tool uses standard 50 kN crimping dies that are compatible with other tools and heads. Thanks to the adaptive control, the BA500 crimping tool automatically adapts the force to the cross-section of the connector and interrupts the crimping process as soon as the crimping dies reach the stop. In this way, the BA500 only uses the force actually required for pressing and does not reach the maximum pressure of 700 bar every time. The adaptive control can be activated by the operator at will. The BA500 recognises when a fastener has been inserted into the head and automatically stops the stroke of the press inserts as soon as it encounters the slightest resistance. This holds the connector without being pressed, allowing the operator to check the correct positioning of the connector between the crimp inserts and precisely align the conductor into the cable lug. The head is hinged and can be rotated through 180° to adapt to different types of application. The quiet and handy BA500 crimping tool has a compact pistol grip design and is equipped with an ergonomic handle to ensure comfort even during prolonged use.

The CTF time relays are designed for safety-critical applications and provide reliable, hardware-based time control wherever PLC solutions are too complex and SIL relays are not required. They enable precise timing functions in control and signalling circuits and feature reliable contact technology with clear feedback on the switching status, supported by positively driven contacts for fault diagnosis. Thanks to their compact design, narrow mounting width and a wide time range from 40 ms to 80 h, they are also suitable for space-constrained applications.
