The EA HMI operator panels are characterized by brilliant displays at an extremely low price. These new HMI Modbus units enable the quick and easy implementation of user interfaces of all kinds. The EA HMI series displays are available in sizes from 2.8 to 12 inches. Their high screen brightness of 1000 cd/m² ensures excellent readability even in poor lighting conditions or outdoors. Easy integration into existing systems is a key focus of the HMI series. Thanks to support for the widely used Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP communication protocols, the panels are ready for use in no time and communicate seamlessly with over 20 popular PLC models – including solutions from Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric, Finder OPTA, Teknic, Beckhoff, and many more. For quick and easy development of customized user interfaces, customers can use the free HMI Designer. There are no additional costs. The WYSIWYG tool allows for intuitive screen design. After the interface design is complete, the Modbus registers are logically linked to the display elements, automatically displaying the corresponding data. DISPLAY VISIONS also offers the creation of custom HMI designs as a service upon request.

Integrated obstacle detection and absolute position The motor control has integrated obstacle detection, eliminating the need for external sensors. A cost-effective SSI absolute encoder enables precise position detection. The system can reliably control up to three pieces of furniture simultaneously. From prototype to series production The project encompassed the entire development process – from the concept phase to prototypes to a solution ready for series production. The control unit, firmware, cabling and mechanical interfaces were completely redesigned. Suitable assembly and testing devices were created for series production. The requirements were demanding: operation in ATEX and IECEx Zone 22, ambient temperatures from 5 to 50 °C, lifetime exceeding 10 million cycles, high continuous and acceleration torque at low speeds, minimal heat generation and maximum energy efficiency – all in a compact design with worldwide certifications (ATEX, IECEx, CE, UL). No such solution existed on the market. Antrimon’s answer was a fully customised brushless outer-rotor motor combined with a two-stage planetary gearbox. The design focused on delivering maximum torque at the lowest speed, exceptional robustness and reliability. With a maintenance-free concept – no brushes, no oil changes – the actuator is built for continuous heavy-duty operation. The entire process, from feasibility analysis and mechanical/electronic design to prototyping, extreme-condition validation, certification and series production, was handled in-house. The result: significantly lower energy consumption compared to pneumatic systems, extended maintenance intervals, improved process safety and full global compliance. This solution gives the customer a clear competitive edge in international plant engineering. With the FLC+, we are expanding the FLC series for components that require slightly more installation space due to their geometry. Here, we place the process modules directly on the floor and simply omit the tabletop on work surfaces; everything else remains the same. The modular design of the FLC+ allows us to always implement the optimal assembly process. We are flexible in our choice of process modules and connect them as efficiently as possible using robots.

Functional safety in Industrial Ethernet is essential for the safe operation of industrial systems. The risk of accidents and failures can be minimised through the implementation of safety protocols, continuous monitoring and compliance with international standards. As a long-standing safety sensor specialist, Kübler is now expanding its safe Industrial Ethernet encoder platform with the latest SIL2 and SIL3 certified Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE) protocol. The S58x8FSX encoder transmits up to 15 bits safe or up to 24 bits non-safe, as well as fully redundant multiturn information of 12 bits safe. Thanks to the platform architecture, this is realised in exactly the same design as the S58 PROFIsafe encoder. Updates can be carried out easily via FoE (File over EtherCAT) without the need for a web server. This simplifies the maintenance process considerably and ensures that the encoder always remains state-of-the-art. The Sendix encoder offers great benefits, particularly due to its high system availability. Equipped with cyber security and protection mechanisms against hacker attacks and misuse in accordance with IEC 62443, the encoder ensures a safe and reliable connection in safety-critical applications.
