uKonn-X – The digital solution for seamless electrical installation technology

At the heart of uKonn-X is a software solution that uses customer data such as electrical PDF circuit diagrams, etc., to create a bill of materials (BOM). The software then generates a clear, interactive 2D/3D view of the assembly or the entire machine. uKonn-X generates digital navigation maps, similar to Google Maps, where the BMK of the components used, such as sensors and actuators, fieldbus modules, and connectors, are the street names and house numbers. This system guides the user to their destination and allows them to see exactly where the electrical components are located and how they are correctly wired on their mobile device. SCAN Assembly department employees scan the components marked with QR codes using handheld scanners. Their positions are immediately displayed in the 2D layout view or in the 3D machine model. INSTALLATION The positioning of the components and the start and end points of the cable connections are visually highlighted. Even people who are unfamiliar with the location are guided intuitively and can reach the specified connection point without in-depth technical knowledge. DOCUMENTATION Once a task has been completed, the user confirms that the assembly has been carried out correctly, thereby triggering documentation in the program and enabling the next task in the assembly process to be carried out until completion. The production management team has live access to data on work progress and expected completion, as well as a readiness report.

    2. Ursachenanalyse in der Instandhaltung auf Basis SAP PM

Ursachenanalyse in der Instandhaltung auf Basis SAP PM

Efficient Root Cause Analysis with SAP PM – Smartly Integrated in the argvis Maintenance Portal** In many companies, maintenance ends after a fault has been resolved. But this is precisely where the crucial step toward sustainable optimization begins: structured root cause analysis. With our solution in the argvis Maintenance Portal, we enable precisely this – seamlessly integrated into SAP PM and intuitively usable on mobile devices or the web. Our root cause analysis builds directly on existing maintenance processes and utilizes standard SAP objects such as notifications, orders, or damage patterns. Users systematically record causes and actions – guided by smart selection lists, check logic, and tried-and-tested templates. The system remains flexible: Custom analysis models such as 5-Why or Ishikawa can be integrated without the need for complex SAP customization measures. The database creates transparency about recurring faults, typical weak points, and potential for improvement – visualized in the portal via clear dashboards or exported for further processing. This turns every maintenance measure into an opportunity for continuous improvement. Particularly noteworthy: The solution is ready to use right away, as it is based on the standard functions of SAP PM and requires no additional back-end development. At the same time, it remains mobile, offline-capable, and easy to use – a real advantage for on-site maintenance staff. With the argvis Maintenance Portal, root cause analysis becomes an integrated part of maintenance – for fewer downtimes, lower costs, and increased plant availability.

    4. Wireless Safety System RE 6900

      Wireless Safety System RE 6900

Maximum mobility with the highest level of safety up to Cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3 The new wireless safety system RE 6900 from the SAFEMASTER W series is the perfect solution if you want to work safely and reliably in hazardous areas during maintenance or machine setup - with maximum mobility. The wireless enabling switch enables safe operation and prevents the unintentional initiation of dangerous movements, as only an activated centre position of the three-stage switch gives the wireless enable for machine movement. Releasing or pressing the switch interrupts the movement and triggers a safetyrelated shutdown. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the wireless enabling switch f its perfectly in the hand and allows intuitive one-handed operation - with maximum safety up to Cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3. The wireless enabling switch is primarily used in robotics for service and maintenance work, while the wireless emergency stop is particularly convincing in large-scale facilities, transport or logistics areas - anywhere where a quick response from a distance is required. With bidirectional wireless communication, motion and shock detection and user authentication via RFID the wireless safety system RE 6900 enables maximum safety and flexibility in everyday industrial use. - For safety applications up to Cat. 4 / PL e or SIL 3 - Maximum mobility with the highest level of safety - Ergonomic design for fatigue-free working

    5. X-DIAS in use | PLC Put to the Test

X-DIAS in use | PLC Put to the Test

Simply plug functional modules as a whole into preconfigured circuit boards instead of time-consuming and error-prone wiring of individual wires: This is the basic concept behind the new ‘X-Dias’ I/O system, which SIGMATEK officially launched last year at the SPS trade fair as an addition to its proven ‘S-DIAS’ control portfolio. It was developed by the local automation expert at the suggestion of and in partnership with Emco-Test, a long-standing customer, also based in Salzburg. The globally successful manufacturer of high-quality hardness testing machines was looking for a solution that would, on the one hand, keep the packing density of the increasingly complex control system under control despite the continuously growing range of variants and functions and, on the other hand, make the connection technology faster and easier to install, future-proof and yet economical – all while maintaining a high degree of modularity and production volumes in the mid three-digit range. This seemingly impossible balancing act was achieved in the form of the jointly developed I/O innovation ‘X-DIAS’, which is now going into series production in Emco-Test's latest generation of hardness testing machines, the ‘Vision Line’. see technical report: Austromatisierung - issue 5+6/2025

    7. ZetesMedea AMR transport with ImageID capture

ZetesMedea AMR transport with ImageID capture

ZetesMedea automates goods transport and product identification flexibly and seamlessly integrated into WMS or ERP systems. AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) handle internal transport, while stationary or mobile stations automatically detect and verify goods and containers. Cartons or pallets loaded onto the AMR are inspected and identified by cameras in the ZetesMedea ImageID system (machine vision and AI) while in motion and compared with the data in the host system. Integrated scanning, RFID, and voice applications allow for the combination of suitable technologies – for efficient yet flexible logistics processes, depending on the use case. The Zetes solution includes robots and mobile devices from various manufacturers, as well as a complete package of integration, software, commissioning, and support. Our AMR solutions and ImageID stations offer high-quality design, first-class technology, and a secure, durable, and high-performance system – based on over 40 years of Zetes project experience.
